Boston manhunt 'skipped over the area where bombing suspect was found' (IN THE ZONE)
daily mail ^ | 4/30 | petersen

Boston bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was discovered after a day-long manhunt by a homeowner - and not by authorities - because law enforcement officials had skipped over the street where he was hiding during their intensive search.

Police did not search the area of Franklin Street where a Watertown man found Tsarnaev hiding in his boat - even though the neighborhood was part of a 20-block area that was supposed to be the focal point of the search, Bloomberg News is reporting based on interviews with 11 residents of the area.

can you pinpoint where your read this home was searched because everyone kept telling me it was out of the zone and wasn’t searched.

It seems I recall something about it being searched but the storyline was that he was in the basement and then moved to the boat after the search. Maybe it was you promulgating that theory.

When I did a search all I could find was that the home was outside the search zone...until the bombshell...no it wasn’t

It seems that comment by the talking head of the Police Department indicates what you are saying is not true.

I don’t think it is because they are taking pictures.

It appears they did this with many houses. Check out the video I just posted.

The official statements and media reporting of the Benghazi attacks were filled with misinformation, distortion, denials, and the promise of a full investigation.

The official statements and media reporting of the Sandy Hook school attack were filled with misinformation, distortion, denials, and the promise of a full investigation.

The official statements and media reporting of the Boston Marathon attack were filled with misinformation, distortion, denials, and the promise of a full investigation.

How many dots does one have to connect before one sees a pattern developing?

Nearly moments after the Boston Marathon bomb explosions, the local and national news reporters made reference to information coming 'from Washington' for various reports and updates.

From Washington? All of the sudden, the local officials were deferring to Washington for releasing information.

Additionally, in one of the late evening pressers, one of the speakers made reference to them 'searching throughout the world, to the ends of the earth' to apprehend those involved. I thought that rather strange since the common spiel all day was 'no sign of terrorism' and 'the lone bomber' and probably a right-wing skinhead rather than a radicalized muslim. I suspect that that speaker at the presser already knew international terrorist ties were involved.

What is shocking to me is that this story generated from Bloomberg.

I never heard or read about him being in the basement. The home had been searched earlier in the day, according to the owner.

The stories and news reports I heard and read, all reported that the owner went outside to smoke a cig, noticed his garage door ajar, spotted bloody clothing, called 911, and the search led to the discovery of the suspect in the boat.

The Boston Globe had the most accurate coverage.

Even some Freepers - who I would Zot if it was within my power - fully approve of the ultimately useless warrantless armed invasion of people’s homes by a militarized police force. Stunning, isn’t it?

They skipped searching the street where the terrorist was found.

Floated the lie that he was armed and had attempted suicide to avoid early scrutiny.

But don’t worry...their budgets will be universally increased, so that they may be yet more tyrannical in the future.

See now local/state police will face scrutiny...this stuff all ends in these proud men being disarmed and hobbled in their authority in favor of a freedom crushing federal police force. Congratulation! Just like Mexico, most all of Europe....

Your version doesn’t click with the official story - home outside of search zone.

I can’t find ANYTHING where the owner says his home was already searched

Here is an interview with the owner

Some slight variations from numerous threads and reports:

Owner noticed the storage shed door [not garage door] opened and noticed the boat tarp ripped.

Owner also saw blood smears on shed door and/or the boat.

Owner went to check out the tarp rip, lifted the tarp and saw a body (could not tell whether it was alive or dead).

Owner went back into house where he or his wife called 911.

David Procopio, a spokesman for the Massachusetts State Police, told Bloomberg that the issue is under investigation.

News of the potential oversight comes as a shock to many, especially considering Tsarnaev had abandoned a getaway car - which he had used to flee from a firefight with police - just 400 yards from where he was later found.

Somebody f’up. Stuff happens. No conspiracy.

According to reports, the shed and the boat at this location had been searched earlier, but a woman noticed a door to it had been opened, saw blood and called police. She may have just ended the search for suspect #2 by her actions.
