As a Soldier and someone who will soon be applying to become Chaplain, I am forced to write this article under a pseudonym. It isn't because I am afraid that my beliefs or convictions are wrong but it is entirely possible that this could be used by some to keep me out of the Chaplains Corps where I think I can do such good for the Soldiers of the United States.
I not writing my personal beliefs about homosexuality or gay marriage. Instead I would like to focus on a constitutional issue: how would legalizing homosexual marriage affect the First Amendment? I have seen and heard many arguments about the effects that gay marriage would have (or not have) on society and why it is such a Neanderthal viewpoint to be against gay marriage. My concern is if gay marriage is legalized, how will that affect the constitutionally protected idea of freedom of religion?
I find it strange that the biggest story of the day on April 29, 2013 was an NBA player coming out of the closet. He was immediately hailed as brave, admirable, a courageous individual, etc. Personally, I think it is a bit silly that this is a story, for two reasons: first, does anyone really care, or are they personally affected by what happens in the bedroom of Jason Collins? And secondly, if Mr. Collins was coming out so that young adults had a role model to look up to, what about Baylor basketball player Brittney Griner who is going to the WNBA and came out last week? Do lesbians not count as role models in sports?

The real problem with all this is teaching children that homosexuality is normal behavior. A strong traditional family is the best arrangement for our species survival and for society.
Our First Amendment Rights, especially freedom of the press is next in line to go when it will be made illegal to speak ill of them. It happened in Canada and Pastors were hauled off to jail by quoting the Scriptures regarding it.
It’s intent is to destroy marriage as an institution.
How is marriage threatened by polygamy?
If the 2nd amendment falls so go the rest probably in numerical order.
The same ‘protections’ that exempt religious based orgs from Obama-care mandates on abortion pills?
This is a set-up to legitimize the mentally disturbed behavior, allow disease vectoring to the public and the threat it carries for public health, and worst of all—allowing male homosexuals access and adoption of young boys.
The Progressives and Liberals in are against Holy Matrimony and being only for "Alternative Lifestyles". As such they do not promote strong families (a Mother and a Father) producing good children for the next generation.
An ungodly generation is just crying out for more sin. And unless we, as a nation repent, our future is as Sodom and Gomorrah.

If it keeps the state from punishing those that won’t buy into ‘gay marriage’, the homosexualists will fight against this. And the state will surely fight to keep marriage, it gives it lots of power over the culture when many are conditioned to think that marriage comes from and is defined by the state, just like charity and education.

What I don’t understand is why this basketball player is being seen as a hero. Homosexual men are notoriously promiscuous and anal sex is a very efficient way to spread disease. Why on earth is this seen as heroic? I don’t get it.

Exactly! They don’t give a rat’s rear, or any other kind of rear, about marriage. This is just a means to attack Christianity. It is meant to allow them to sue anyone who doesn’t kiss their butt.
It is incredibly obvious that a man’s penis is not meant by God or nature or anything else to go up a man’s rump. It is an obvious perversion, so why take any steps to normalize perversion? There is little difference between homosexuality and bestiality. One is as disgusting and unnatural as the other.
Human value is derived from God created individuality... male and female. Let everything reproduce after its own kind... God instituted the family for this purpose... it is a perversion of the image of God to do otherwise, and therefore an abomination. Trans sexual, transgender and trans-humanism seeks to break the restrictions of God’s created order, in essence to build our own tower of Babel... to be the gods of our own destiny. Flat out, homosexual marriage is an abomination before the Lord, even if your a Republican. It opens a pandora’s box that leads to the return of Nephilim... the mix of animal, demonic, and/or fallen angel DNA with that of mankind.
I’m beginning to think that God won’t allow us repentance, as a nation. We’re reaching a point where He might make an example of us - as we deserve.
If you don’t get it, take a step back.
