A new poll finds that many Americans are confused about the health care overhaul legislation commonly called “Obamacare.”
The Kaiser Family Foundation released results of a non-partisan study today finding more than 40 percent did not even know the law was in place.
“Four in ten Americans (42%) are unaware that the ACA [Affordable Care Act] is still the law of the land,” the report says, “including 12 percent who believe the law has been repealed by Congress, 7 percent who believe it has been overturned by the Supreme Court and 23 percent who say they don’t know enough to say what the status of the law is.”
The survey showed public opinion on Obamacare is at its second-lowest rating in the past two years.
Less than half – 40 percent – of adults viewed the ACA favorably, whereas 35 percent said they viewed it unfavorably. Another 24 percent said they did not know or refused to answer.
Democratic Sen. Max Baucus, one of the original crafters of the bill, earlier this month predicted a chaotic implementation process for the Affordable Care Act. “I just see a huge train wreck coming down,” Baucus, D-Mont., said.
The president today defended his health care plan against that claim.
“I think that any time you’re implementing something big, there is going to be people who are nervous and anxious about is it going to get done until it’s actually done,” he told reporters.....

Obama did smartly accelerate the handout goodies to 2012 to help him win the election.

Not surprised in the least. I would imagine the sample included a number of folks who barely speak English. and many folks that are more interested in
duck dynasty and the wife swap show than anything political.
Someone better clue the King into the fact that their Holocaust is not wanted by anyone with brain cells functioning. His complicit RAT cohorts won’t fare well in the 2014 election when their DeathCare taxes start, ya think?
It might seem strange to us, but we really are the minority, people that actually pay close attention to news and politics.
I know some of these 42% in my own life, I have relatives that know NOTHING about current events or politics, they MIGHT be able to tell you who the president is, but that is as far as they go. If you asked them which party controlled the Senate or who the Speaker of the House was, you would get a blank stare. They don't have the slightest idea about the issues of the day or where the parties stand on the issues.
The thing is, they aren't stupid. Both are college graduates. They just have zero interest in news or politics. They do not watch any news or read newspapers or magazines. Their TV stays tuned to ESPN or one of the movie channels, in fact I tried to view a news channel at their house and they had every one of them blocked, so you couldn't even see them on the menu, because, according to them "those channels were just in the way".
They’ll know soon enough when the rug is pulled out or they have to cut that big check at the end of the year to the IRS.
Must be those “low information” voters.
Never heard of Duck Dynasty, so I went to the web page. Noted the cute Duck Dynasty chia head for sale. I can see why people would know more about this than Obama’s healthcare. It’s a lot easier to comprehend.
That explains a lot.
But 90% are in favor of the gun control bill!
I know what they did. They did *not* ask people about “Obamacare”, but if the “Affordable Care Act” or “ACA” had been passed, even though nobody but bureaucrats calls it that.
