(Reuters) - Eight police officers were hurt and 18 protesters arrested in Seattle on Wednesday when a May Day rally that began peacefully turned violent after dark, with crowds hurling rocks and bottles at police who responded with pepper spray grenades.

Protesters threw rocks, bottles and chunks of asphalt at officers, officials said, smashing store and car windows, overturning trash cans and lining up newspaper display racks to block streets.

Police in riot gear, some riding in armored SWAT vehicles, responded by repeatedly firing "blast ball" grenades, which emit smoke tinged with pepper spray.

These are hard leftists and anarchists. They’ll get a pass by the press.

Meanwhile, Harry Reid compared the Tea Party to “Modern Anarchists” just yesterday.

Channel surfed onto CNN this morning just as the anchorette was 'splaining that the 'utes were just protesting for better working conditions.
She added that the day (May Day) is celebrated around the world, and in many countries it's a holiday ... tacitly suggesting that the US is just soooo out of touch.
Feckin' commies.

"I thought they were all stoned and eating cheetos in their parents’ basements?"

Apparently they're stoned and raging at the perceived "injustices" Conservatism has wrought in their oh-so-successful, yet arbitrary, lives...

Yes, it’s a communist holiday. International Workers’ Day.

Also a holiday for faeries (gays) that dance around the maypole.

Mayday is also a universal distress call.

Fox News was just covering this. Radio host whom I believe is Chris Plante but I just temporarily forgot his name, said that the anarchists are a branch of the Democrat Party. Of course, Alan Colmes denied all of that, he also denied that the Democrats had anything to do with Occupy Wall Street.

I also believe that the anarchists are a wing of the Democrat Party. From what I have seen over the years, just about anything that shows some signs of organization can be traced to the Democrat Party in some way. The Dems have so many ways of laundering money to their buddies. I think that the radical professors coach the college punks. This anarchist movement is international it is also called “antifa”.

The attacks on the Minneapolis Republican convention in 2008 were caused by the “Republican Welcoming Committee”. They had large pails of urine that they were prepared to spray on the police and Republican convention attendees. These disruptions always happen in liberal cities so you know that the little punks are going to get away with a lot of destruction. Look at William Ayres and Bernadine Dohrn. There is a rainbow coalition of everything from actual communists to mainstream Democrats. There is no clear line of demarcation between the extreme element and the mainstream element which has to be purposeful.

These s.o.b.s knew what they were doing in wake of the Boston Marathon bombings. They were using those smoke bombs to intimidate.
