Chinese incursion leaves India on verge of crisis
Associated Press ^ | May 2, 2013 5:50 AM EDT | Nirmala George

The platoon of Chinese soldiers slipped across the boundary into India in the middle of the night, according to Indian officials. They were ferried across the bitterly cold moonscape in Chinese army vehicles, then got out to traverse a dry creek bed with a helicopter hovering overhead for protection.

They finally reached their destination and pitched a tent in the barren Depsang Valley in the Ladakh region, a symbolic claim of sovereignty deep inside Indian-held territory. So stealthy was the operation that India did not discover the incursion until a day later, Indian officials said.

China denies any incursion, but Indian officials say that for two weeks, the soldiers have refused to move back over the so-called Line of Actual Control that divides Indian-ruled territory from Chinese-run land, leaving the government on the verge of a crisis with its powerful northeastern neighbor.

Indian officials fear that if they react with force, the face-off could escalate into a battle with the powerful People’s Liberation Army. But doing nothing would leave a Chinese outpost deep in territory India has ruled since independence. …

A huge mob of diplomats—spurred by very special investor/corporate constituents—from our western governments are probably already trying to threaten India into letting the Chinese army have that real estate, and there have been several similar incursions into eastern and northern India over the past decade or so.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said Thursday that Chinese troops had been carrying out normal patrols and had not crossed the boundary.

Pretty simple, announce a "live fire practice" at the GPS coords of the platoon. If it's on the Indian side, how can the Chinese object?

Don’t blame Nixon, blame Bush the elder, Bill Clinton, George Bush the younger and Barack Obama. China helped defeat the Soviet Union in the Cold War. After the Cold War these folks decided to keep building China up long after the threat to her neighbors and the US was evident.

China didn’t help “defeat” the USSR. Besides, the USSR is on its way back under Putin in a slightly different form (Putin calls it the “Eurasian Union”). China was never an ally in that fight; they merely took advantage so that they could become the vanguard power spreading world communism. Look at what their influence did to us. Mr. EPA/Amtrak/OSHA/Wage-and-price-control Nixon started that ball rolling.

The benefit to the USA was that China forced the Soviet Union to back off its pledge to help Vietnam if it was ever attacked. It weakened the Soviet Union and helped the US defeat her.

Soviet influence replaced US influence; Red China and communist Vietnam fought one proxy war, and the Soviet’s puppet (Vietnam) beat Red China’s (Kampuchea).

Rape-a-second Indians?

America is one of the rape capitals of the planet, with a significantly higher rate of overall and per-capita rape incidents than India.

Rapes per 100,000 population. Grey areas - statistics unavailable.

The recent violent rapes in India generated massive public protests that forced the government there to make rape one of the crimes liable to be punished with the death penalty.

This incident happened in America recently, but you wouldn't know because of the general apathy to rape, and a high tendency to be straddled on high horses here:

13 yr old Disabled Ga. Girl Gang-Raped by 25 people aged 12-25 http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3013142/posts

ABC News

Posted on April 27, 2013, 10:43:12 AM PDT by chessplayer

The suspects accused of raping and molesting a 13-year-old mentally disabled girl videotaped part of the crime, authorities said.

District Attorney Pat Head would not say what the videotape revealed, but said he did not plan to show it to the grand jury.

Up to 25 males — ages 12 to 25 — raped and molested the girl for 12 hours after luring her off of a bicycle and into an apartment building, police said Wednesday.

Eight suspects have been arrested and warrants were issued for three others sought in the Oct. 13-14 attack, Cobb County police spokesman Dana Pierce said.

Lured, Then Attacked Repeatedly Police said four men leaving a high school football game met the girl on her bicycle and persuaded her to accompany them to an apartment. They raped the girl and then took her to an abandoned apartment in the same complex, where as many as 20 males attacked her, police said.

---------------

What happened with the recent Steubenville rape case? Dead already with nary a public reaction. Pathetic.

Those with knucklehead dreams of a nuclear war in Asia better prepare themselves and their children for a protracted military draft that will be installed to feed the war efforts there, because any war between China and India will suck Australia into it, and along with Japan, too, quickly expanding into a world war and the US getting fully involved to prevent a takeover of Asia by China - because when that happens, Chinese domination will spill over onto America.

“Those with knucklehead dreams of a nuclear war in Asia better prepare themselves and their children for a protracted military draft...”

Those with knucklehead dreams that this country will ever have a draft again are delusional.

“because any war between China and India will suck Australia into it, and along with Japan, too, quickly expanding into a world war and the US getting fully involved to prevent a takeover of Asia by China - because when that happens, Chinese domination will spill over onto America.”

Red China already dominates America. We have no troops to send to a war which happens to involve two factions with over a billion people each. As a defecting Soviet pilot pointed out, if you kill one million Red Chinese per day it would take three years to kill them all.

Duh! What did you think the draft would be for?

There are too many American strategic and economic interests tied into Asia. When war breaks out, Americans will be flown in to the killing fields.

There is no need to kill 1 billion red Chinese. No one takes over a country by killing all its inhabitants. They do it by crippling its military, which is not 1 billion strong.

“There are too many American strategic and economic interests tied into Asia.”

There are business interests, not “American interests”. People will join the Microsoft Division or the Dell Division if they choose to deploy there; they were the ones that built those economies, and they can do with them as they please with mercenary armies.

“No one takes over a country by killing all its inhabitants.”

That’s what Carthage said; run into any Carthagian-Americans lately?

I assure you this country will never again have a draft; they may pay army privates $150K per year (and run the printing presses 24/7 to do it), but there will never again be a draft. This is a consequence of liberalism, but a good one; when the concept of a nation died decades ago, there is no reason to invent “national interests”. If we won’t draft to protect our borders, we won’t do it to defend India’s.

“You are an old man who thinks in terms of nations and peoples. There are no nations! There are no peoples! There are no Russians! There are no Arabs! There are no third worlds! There is no West! There is only one holistic system of systems, one vast and immane, interwoven, interacting, multi-variate, multi-national dominion of dollars. Petro-dollars, electro-dollars, multi-dollars, Reichmarks, rins, rubles, pounds, and shekels!… You get up on your little twenty-one-inch screen, and howl about America and democracy. Incredible foresight.

One of the reasons why I believe we will never have a draft is how Vietnam played out. The high command that directed the war admitted a lot of mistakes later, with no consequences. The next president pardoned all who dodged the draft. While most veterans were still alive, our country normalized relations with, and started shipping jobs to, the communist victor.

Who would ever be stupid enough to answer a call to arms to fight halfway around the world? My guess is nobody...

False dilemma. Neither Washington nor Perry started those respective balls rolling in those cases. Nixon actively pursued China in his case, and his own politics are an indicator of what would follow.

You have a phenomenal underestimation of the power of business interests, leave alone other strategic interests of the US in Asia such as military bases, installations and territories.

There is a reason why Saudi Arabia is so influential within the US government. They can send and whisk away citizens at will, and the US fights their wars for them. Almost like a client slave state, shedding blood and treasure for the Saudis.

Business entities are dictating government and public policies, including in strategic areas like immigration, with the voting population literally powerless to do anything, if it cares.

The days of total slaughter-based domination ended generations ago. The world of Carthage is not the world we live in today.

If your country can shed blood for Saudi Muslim scum, and fight their battles for them, your enlistment into war is an India-China nuclear exchange away.

Public apathy is a gauge of that. Business-as-usual is why the Steubenville and other rapes got swatted out of the public fora here whereas the one Delhi incident brought out massive protests and legal changes in the other.

There are darker shades in Africa reflecting anecdotal reports. That map is not too inaccurate, and establishes the high rape rates in the US.

That worked 100 years ago when a semi-literate population could be sold on the Kaiser’s menace to the world (as Americans died for Britain - on whose empire the sun never set - talk about a threat to freedom in the world). Today people are too smart to die for Saudis; we currently use a volunteer force because that allows our government to p!ss their lives away with little reaction from the American public.

The Iraq wars and the arming of Egypt, the sale of weapons to Saudi Arabia, US forces securing the area for them, the Afghan wars, reining in on Shia Iran at the behest of arch-rival Sunni Saudis, the whisking away of Saudi terror suspects without investigation, etc., are all happening in the present, not the distant past.
