At that point there's no difference between an airport terminal and any other crowded place. There are plenty of places people stand around in lines, most of them with less security than any airport.
The report I see says that the man shot himself and that a sky marshal fired upon the man with the gun but missed.
There is also news of a critically injured bystander. Don’t know if the man with the gun or the sky marshal shot him/her.
Local Fox has someone affiliated with the network that just happened to be going through the airport at the time. She was able to talk with someone from the United ticket counter. He told her that he noticed that the “suspect” had been sitting in a nearby chair for at least a couple of hours before he started the initial gunshots. I wonder who he expected to be coming off a flight in terminal B?

Yep. Don't forget, there was an equally inexplicable suicide at the recent NRA 500 race at the Texas Motor Speedway.
Because the potential for attention posed by prohibited guns on crowded airplanes is obvious, even beyond any overt issues of terrorism or premeditated crime.
Fox is saying one dead and one injured.

while suicide leads the list of gun deaths, suicide by gunfire is low on the number of overall suicides. It isn't the guns that make them kill themselves and the Left knows it.

I have to change planes there on my way to CA.... Terminal B is one of the sites.
Similar story out of the Oregon (or was it Washington?) shopping mall shooting just before the Newtown Massacre. Guy opened fire, hitting a couple of people. Some CCW guy shot back and missed. Perp immediately shot himself. These guys only want the power rush of killing unopposed and ending with suicide--the ultimate in control. Like hitting the delete key on your own existence. Being in a firefight doesn't interest them, and being wounded and taken alive even less. Guys in firefights hope to live. Most of these guys don't.
