San Jose State University Meteorology decides burning books they don’t agree with is better than
Watts Up With That ^ | May 2, 2013 | Anthony Watts

From the Fahrenheit 451 department comes this indictment of California’s higher education’s “tolerance” for opposing views. When I first got the tip on this, I thought to myself “nobody can be this stupid to photograph themselves doing this” but, here they are, right from the San Jose State University Meteorology Department web page:

The caption from the SJSU website reads:

This week we received a deluge of free books from the Heartland Institute {this or this}. The book is entitled “The Mad, Mad, Made World of Climatism”. SHown above, Drs. Bridger and Clements test the flammability of the book.
Maybe they just can’t help themselves, note the pictures on the wall.

Here is a screencap of the website relevant section:

SJSU Meteorology page is here: http://www.sjsu.edu/meteorology/

Fully archived here:

This is the link for book: The Mad Mad Mad World of Climatism

I think Drs. Bridger and Clements have proved the point of the book quite well.

if you wish to comment on their photo, here’s where:

The presumption is that they know how to read in the first place.

It redefines heads up their a$$ instead of books, history and what not.

Liberalism’s privacy is a mental disease. They whore themselves in private and claim they get away from public scrutiny. But when they get the upper hand in court, then all that repressed trash in their private unconscious gets regurgitated for all to see in obsenities of this sort, without an inkling of shame.

These people are cowards and cannot earn the writing, and only the flames of hell call to them.

Climatism is basically a politician who claims that for our own good, he will kill us, because that is less bugs and infestations risk for him.

Case in point is Ayatollah mayor Bloomberg. He hates New Yorkers from NYC.

Who’s to say that these professors believe in AGW anyway? After all, climitazion, wind power, new flu strain scares, CFBs, high speed trains, etc., are PC excuses to supplement income with constitutonally indefensible federal funding.

Can you detect the acrid odor of burning books, at all?

Sorry if the following comment has already been mentioned. Note that by burning books that don’t compliment their radical agenda, these unthinking, hypocritical professors are contributing to AGW.

The activity in the first picture must violate the university fire code.

Burning books with opposing viewpoints, shouting down your opponent, and killing unbelievers are ALL signs that deep down you know you are in the wrong.

I guess he has to purchase some carbon credits from Al Bore to make up for the book burning.
