Madeleine Albright: ‘I Listen to Right-Wing Radio When I Drive’ May 3, 2013 By Melanie Hunter
(CNSNews.com) – Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright on Friday said she listens to “right-wing radio” when she drives in response to a question about climate change and warned, “If people think we’ve been arguing about fossil fuels, wait ‘til we really start arguing over water.”
“I hate to tell you guys this, but I actually listen to right-wing radio as I drive, which is a good idea to stay away from me,” she said during the question and answer portion of her keynote speech at the Truman National Security Project’s annual conference.
A conference attendee asked Albright, “You briefly mentioned climate change, and I was wondering if you could just give a few thoughts about what role addressing climate change will play in the president’s second term and what level of responsibility Secretary Kerry has in those discussions.”
“I believe that it is one of the truly important issues that has to be taken up for any number of issues. One, I was just listening to— I hate to tell you guys this, but I actually listen to right-wing radio as I drive, which is a good idea to stay away from me,” she said in response.
“But there was a ridiculous discussion today about you know, it’s cold, so we don’t have—I think a mistake was to call it global warming. It isn’t global warming. It’s climate change … but it’s a left-wing problem,” she said.
