From what I understand, it was very tiny apartment. Otherwise, I might think he could have hidden the bombs in his “prayer room.” cough cough Most Muslims I hear talking about prayer rooms seem to indicate that they are for men only.
But no way they had room for a prayer room, so who knows where they could have hidden the bomb making paraphernala.

He really seemed to distance himself...hadn't seen them since years but he knew they were "losers". When did he decide they were losers? Years ago when he last saw them (!!!!) or recently when they got caught?

If Uncle had stayed quiet it would have taken the internet detectives much longer to find out he has affiliations with the CIA and helped facilitate terrorists through the Benevolence charity . He has a different last name for a reason.

Did he and/or someone want them out of the way? The July 4th was to be a suicide bombing.
Maybe Terrorists #1 and #2 got to thinking they didn't want to suicide themselves and went rogue - different date.
Maybe uncle calls them "losers" because they couldn't even follow directions to bomb on the 4th.
Maybe uncle was sending code to his higher ups................."losers" gone rogue.
I'd think Terrorist #2 should go into witness relocation program. He could spill quite a lot, I would think.
