this is not news, there are soldiers and marines dying nearly every day from other nations too, its the hypocrisy form the media which I loath.

Now their boy is in power and not a peep about gitmo, torture, Libya, fast and furious, Afghanistan, debt, gas prices and NOT A FRIGGING PEEP.

Initially it sounded like the Taliban were going to lay low until after our troops had left then they would attack the current government. At present it appears that since they know we are leaving they will kill as many Americans as they can making it look like we were defeated.
I know a recently retired USMC Gunny who was stationed in SE Afghanistan. He told me that most of the IED’s are placed by talibunnies who come across the border from Quetta, pahkeestan. They get help from the pak security service making these bombs.
His Marines were not allowed within 12 miles of the Pak border. All of their vehicles have transponders so commanders in their safe bunkers can keep track of their location.
We would be doing humankind a favor by turning Afghanistan, Pahkeestan, and all of the rest of the mudslime hangouts into radioactive glass parking lots. But, we won’t. And by the time owebama gets through we won’t have enough nukes to do much of anything, especially protect ourselves and our allies.
I saw a story the other day that the Taliban has lanched a new offensive think it was Thursday!
I think I heard, or read, the same thing. They want it to look like a terrible American defeat. We may now lose a number of military men.
We could have ten times as many troops there but we still couldn’t root out all the Taliban.

Our troops had the same problem in Vietnam, trying to root out all the Northern commie Vietnamese. It's a no-win.
My read is that the locals should dump them. We can arm and train them as we did the Vietnamese. I hate the idea of American soldiers dying for a group of people who will, in the end, reject us and ask us the leave IMMEDIATELY. "Thanks and bye-bye now."
We should do the same with Pakistan. Do you know what Pakistan means? "stan" means country. "Paki" means pure. They consider themselves the land of the pure.

And we have the same problem as in Vietnam, we allow the enemy to hide behind borders and do nothing to kill them at their source.
Yes, unfortunately we do.
If we elect a Dem, he won't do it.
