Obama Aide On Syria's Assad: 'If He Drops Sarin On His Own People, What’s That Got Do Do With Us?'

I agree with that statement.

The only thing keeping Obama from bombing Syria is Russia.

He bombed Libya because the UN told him to.

If Russia wasn’t blocking everything related to Syria in the UN we’d be waist deep already.

An American president has to back up his own words. We know Obama is a cowardly leader, disloyal as he is being guided (misguided in truth against the US interests) by the UN. I wouldn’t trust Obama leading any war to be honest. We are doomed either way with him because he is already proving he leads by the political winds to appease his inner circle (who give him directions). He doesn’t care if our own people die nor care about innocent people who are being slandered (Turn your heads; it always works for the democrats) See Hillary. We all know what should happen but the world is prominently an appeaser to radicalism of one religion.

Setting aside morality, Assad prevailing and having to rebuild over a decade or more, with sabotage and insurgent attacks in perpetuity.

How is that not preferable to Syria governed the Muslim Brotherhood or Al Quada? They won’t give a damn about rebuilding or even the appearance of such, they’ll set about funding and supplying the fall of the next government -furthering the caliphate.

Setting aside morality, hobbling Assad, but keeping him in place may be the best outcome for infidels.

There are two sides in Syria: Al Qaeda versus Assad.

Why would we get in the way of Assad killing Al Qaeda, and Al Qaeda killing Assad?

The only thing to do when WMDs are discovered among Islamofaschist terrorists or in Muslim dictatorships is to GET RID OF THEM.

Which is what Israel has been doing by bombing sarin factories in Syria, just as it previously destroyed Saddam Hussein’s attempt to build a nuclear reactor at Osirik in 1981 and when Syria was found to have a budding nuclear facility several years ago.

Syria’s civil war has been going on for two years, yet never has anyone, not even the neo-Conservatives, seriously discussed America taking sides. What changed is that Syria was rumored to have chemical weapons, and Barack Obama lied that if such rumors were confirmed, he would take action.

But the action needed to remove the chemical weapons was to bomb the weapons factories — not send in the Marines. Although the Israelis are taking care of the problem, seeing our president do nothing, not even publicly support Israel, has been damaging to us.

We, along with Israel, SHOULD care that Syria’s evil dictator is trying to produce WMDs. Just because Israel’s land is contiguous with Syria’s shouldn’t lessen the fact that WMDs, particularly easily transportable chemicals, are a deadly threat to everyone on the planet.

Ask not for whom Syria’s sarin gas is meant, it’s meant for thee.

For once we need to keep our nose out of this Syrian civil war and the Middle East. Assad is doing the same thing that Obama or others would do if any group in the USA ever took up arms. Governments typically fight civil uprisings and civil wars ruthlessly with all means necessary. Innocent people are killed. All of it is none of our business. We need to get the USA back in shape and another ME war is not at all in our interest.

“How can we attack another country unless it’s in self-defense and with no Security Council resolution?” an unnamed Obama administration official tells the paper. “If he drops sarin on his own people, what’s that got to do with us?”

It's extremely rare that I would ever agree with anything that emanates from this administration, but in this case, this guy is spot-on. Syria is not our fight. No more American blood for jihadi muslims who will only direct their fire at us later.
