WASHINGTON (AP) — The conservative Heritage Foundation is claiming in a new report that bipartisan immigration legislation pending in the Senate would cost taxpayers $6.3 trillion.
The study from the Republican-led group opposed to an immigration overhaul is sure to come under fire. Already, the libertarian-leaning Cato Institute has decried it as "fatally flawed." Critics say it doesn't measure economic boosts from the bill.

Politicians don’t care what the bill will cost taxpayers; only what the bill will cost politicians.
“All the reason to kill it. They never get it do they?
They get it. Without economic freedom, there is no liberty.
The problem is not immigration per se, but rather socialism in the first place.
“You’re gonna need a bigger printing press”
Seriously? We can't boost the economy with the Americans and the illegals we already have in place.
That’s on top of the real costs: The Rule of Law. Sovereignty. Security. Independence. Electoral integrity. And other important things that can’t be measured by mere money.
Oh, it’s from Ass. Press, so it must be fair and balanced. As evidenced by the first sentence.
Already, the libertarian-leaning Cato Institute has decried it as “fatally flawed.”
My biggest issue with the “CATO” crowd is that they don’t get the idea that Free trade can ONLY work if it is between two countries of simular economic and cultural development levels.
It is like saying an average 2nd grader can help out a college student with calculus and the college student will help the 2nd grader with their addition and subtraction.
Only the 2nd grader will see the benfit and the college student will be wasting their time and their grades will most certainly suffer...
“...only what the bill will cost politicians....”
In a better time, with better people, it SHOULD cost them their f***ing jobs and make them ineligible to ever hold office again.
In July 2012, the youth employment-population ratio for men was 51.9 percent, and the ratio for women was 48.4 percent. The ratio for whites was 53.5 percent, compared with 38.9 percent for blacks, 37.4 percent for Asians, and 46.5 percent for Hispanics.
