Benghazi Scandal Will Be Obama's Watergate, Huckabee Believes
Christian Post ^ | 05/06/2013 | Napp Nazworth

Posted on 05/07/2013 8:37:40 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

President Barack Obama will be unable to finish his second term due to the Benghazi scandal, media personality and former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee expects.

The prediction came Monday during his radio show, "The Mike Huckabee Show."

"I believe that before it's all over, this president will not fill out his full term. I know that puts me on a limb," he said, according to Politico. "But this is not minor. It wasn't minor when Richard Nixon lied to the American people and worked with those in his administration to cover-up what really happened in Watergate. But, I remind you – as bad as Watergate was, because it broke the trust between the president and the people, no one died. This is more serious because four Americans did, in fact, die."

This Wednesday, at least three whistle blowers are set to testify before a Republican-led U.S. House committee. They will present evidence that the Obama administration failed to respond quickly to the September 11, 2012 attack on a U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya that led to the deaths of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens. They will also present evidence that the administration purposely misled when it blamed the attack on a YouTube video and said it arose out of a spontaneous demonstration.

One of those testifying will be Greg Hicks, who served under Chris Stevens. Hicks was not in Libya during the attack, but was in contact with Stevens as the attack was taking place.

Hicks' "story is totally at variance with what some American officials were saying in public on this broadcast five days after the attack," veteran CBS journalist Bob Schieffer said Sunday on "Face the Nation." "The administration claimed the attack grew out of a spontaneous demonstration provoked by protests in Egypt. Greg Hicks told investigators that was simply not true."

Huckabee said that the Benghazi scandal "goes all the way to the heart of the integrity of the United States government."

"When a president lies to the American people and is part of a cover-up, he cannot continue to govern," Huckabee added. "And as the facts come out, I think we're going to see something startling. And before it's over, I don't think this president will finish his term unless somehow they can delay it in Congress past the next three and a half years."

A third part of the scandal has to do with the denial of additional security by the Obama administration for U.S. officials stationed in Libya. Then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton claimed in January that she was unaware that requests, by Stevens and other top officials, were denied. Republican investigators, though, found that Clinton had signed off on a plan to reduce the number of security personnel in Libya. Administration officials counter that many State Department documents bear the secretary's signature, but she does not see all of them.

Remember that Hillary wanted to break laws to get Nixon. She is protected because conservatives play by the rules.

"When a president lies to the American people and is part of a cover-up, he cannot continue to govern," Huckabee added.

Obama's presidency is a lie. He and his administration have been lying since "Day 1". They have no shame, no conscience, and anything ... up to and including dead Americans .... is ok if it furthers their agenda and they achieve their ends. The media is totally corrupted and complicit, so no help there. The crapweasels in Congress have no courage and don't make good on their oaths to uphold the Constitution. Obama will be in the WH until the end of his term.

Nobody has to break any existing code of law here in the United States to get Herself, the Cold and Joyless. It is only necessary to apply existing law, and enforce those laws.

Sadly, there is nobody attending the store that will exert the necessary effort to assure these flagrant violations will be followed up on, much less prosecuted.

There is an old piece of time-tested wisdom, if you are going to take a shot the king, you better not miss. The gun is cocked and aimed, just nobody is willing to pull the trigger.

Conservatives can still play by the rules. BUT, they need to also start playing by emotions--as the Dems have been doing with such great success.

We have MUCH better ideas--but ideas work on the mind, and emotions work on the heart.

So--reach both! Get the parents of the two dead CIA heroes in front of the Committee hearings and let them ask Clinton and Obama why they their sons were the only ones who had the guts to DO SOMETHING to stop the TERRORISTS from killing the other people in the CIA annex, and why their sons were cold-heartedly left to die and become sacrifices on the altar of a Presidential campaign!

Huckabee is wrong, and is just trying to stay relevant. People who don’t need to wear sunscreen need not worry about being law-abiding anymore. They can break laws and lie with impunity and 50% of the voting electorate will forgive them. But, keeping our eyes on the ball, if HRC is derailed from any attempt at being the Dumbacrat presidential nominee in 2016 then all is good in my book.

The only way for any of this to matter is to get Harry Reid to care about it. The only way Reid is going to care is if it looks like Obie is going to cost him his Majority Leader position.

Pubbies hoping to flip Red State demos are going to have to push this hard. Those are the states to watch if there is to be any hope of getting anything done.

NOT WITHOUT A JUDGE SIRICA.

Judge Sirica kept the Watergate burglars in jail until they broke and started talking. Except for Gordon Liddy who stayed in jail and never said a word.

This current gang of wussies couldn’t spend an overnight in jail without singing.

I’m also waiting for the secret White House tapes. You know the ones in which The One is snoring the whole night long during the Benghazi attack.

I’d love to see that as an RNC ad. Just the sound of the snoring and crickets on one half of the screen while the other half shows the ambassador being dragged through the streets.

On one hand you have many well-meaning Republicans who don’t want to purposefully do damage to the country or tear it apart. One the other you have the Democrats who have made it their life’s work. The Republicans lack the will to drive the dagger home and twist it. That’s what it will take to get this guy and so it won’t happen.

Does anybody remember if Juan Williams made the same complaint when they were investigating the “outing” of Joe Wilson’s “spy” CIA wife, Valerie Plame for the “Nigergate” affair?

In the end, Scooter Libby was indicted for “obstruction of justice” even as we now know that the prosecutors knew that it was Richard Armitage who leaked her name from the very beginning.

How much did this investigation about nothing cost and was Juan Williams concerned about it?

It does. There are plenty of journalists out to ‘speak truth to power’ (and some lies) ... just only when the “powerful” have an (R) beside their names.

The days of pretending to be unbiased and intellectual honesty in journalism are long gone.

Absolutely right. You got to hit the low information voter right in his/her fuzzy wuzzy bleeping heart.

And then I’d punch back at the White House by flying the bereaved parents around in a 747 with a mock presidential seal on the fuselage.

Where is Dick Tuck when you need him?

“In 1968, Tuck utilized Republican nominee Nixon’s own campaign slogan against him; he hired a very pregnant African-American woman to wander around a Nixon rally in a predominantly white area, wearing a T-shirt that said, “Nixon’s the One!”

Gets you thinking about pulling that on the current The One.

de·feat·ism (d -f t z m). n. Acceptance of or resignation to the prospect of defeat.

I am so tired of seeing good decent Freepers with this DEFEATIST attitude. People are FINALLY asking questions and getting answers about Benghazi and all you can do is MOAN??!

I'm THRILLED that Tyrone S. Woods, Glen Doherty, Sean Smith and J. Christopher Stevens are getting some small justice. ANY fact discovery is better than nothing. And even if there is no chance of getting Obama/Clinton removed from office it is no excuse for not supporting Huckabee, Issa, Gowdy or anyone else that is PUSHING the issue.

My spirit is not close to broken and there is still plenty of fight left in me. I'm all for hanging this black cloud of death and deciet all over Obama and Clinton until the day they die (Just like Hanoi Jane!). And I look ahead to the day I can visit the Obama presidential library with my children and tell them all about America's worst president and our darkest days.

Of course thats just my opinion and I accept that you may not agree with me. Its ok if you have given up and are resigned to bitterly accept the borg-like advancement of Obama's regime muttering, "why bother, resistance is futile". But thats not me.

I say TAKE IT TO THEM! I'll be the chick shouting "BENGHAZI!" at Hillary's campaign rally.

Huckleberry has morphed into Knucklehead. Did he even take a gander at the party affiliation of the alleged president he is talking about? Impeachment? Dummy please.

With a Republican House and Senate, a Democrat President who had committed felony perjury in a sexual harassment matter, and who had demeaned his office by having sex with interns in the White House, and who had strong evidence of rape and sexual harassment of other women, could not be impeached. The effort was laughed out of the Senate, and the press turned it somehow into a negative for Republicans.

Try it against the messiah and a much more partisan press than before, and a weaker group of Republicans who don't even control the Senate, and anyone who thinks they could get rid of Obama is exposing a real lack of intelligence. Which is just confirming what we have known all along about Huckleberry. Good man, lots of bad ideas, not too bright.
