Nuts… Second Grader Suspended for Holding a Pencil Like a Gun (Video)

The liberal insanity continues… Little seven-year-old Christopher Marshall was suspended from school for holding a pencil like a gun. He was pretending to be a Marine. That’s not allowed at his school.

The boy has good grades and has never caused any problems in classes before. FOX 43 reported, via Legal Insurrection:

A Suffolk school suspended a second grader for pointing a pencil at another student and making gun noises.

Seven-year-old Christopher Marshall says he was playing with another student in class Friday, when the teacher at Driver Elementary asked them to stop pointing pencils at each other.

“When I asked him about it, he said, ‘Well I was being a Marine and the other guy was being a bad guy,’” said Paul Marshall, the boy’s father. “It’s as simple as that.”

Christopher’s father was a Marine for many years. He thinks school leaders overreacted.

“A pencil is a weapon when it is pointed at someone in a threatening way and gun noises are made,” said Bethanne Bradshaw, a spokesperson for Suffolk Public Schools.

The Suffolk school system has a “zero tolerance policy” when it comes to weapons. And, Bradshaw admits, that policy has tightened up in recent years because of widely publicized school shootings.

My son told me they’re no longer allowed to make “finger guns” at school when he’s playing cops & robbers with his friends on the playground. He said it was dumb, and what should he do? I said “cops also carry tazers and billy-clubs...pretend to use those. Maybe play “Cops with Iron Man Blasters”, or “Cops with Rocket Launchers”...lol

I’m sure I’ll get another note sent home in the next few days.

That would be a beautiful protest. All of the kids simultaneously pointing their ‘finger guns’ at the teachers and going ‘pew pew pew.’ And continue doing it every day until the whole thing is dropped. Do it at recess, do it a lunch, walking to and from school, in the classes and halls. Everywhere all the kids making ‘finger guns’ and ‘shooting’ everyone and everything around.

It’s reaching the point where parents need to say, “Alright, you people are obviously too stupid to teach my child. We won’t be returning.”

“A pencil is a weapon when it is pointed at someone in a threatening way and gun noises are made,”

A pencil is a weapon if it’s sharp and thrown at someone. This was not done.

“pointed in a threatening way” The boys were playing. There was a simulation of a threat, not a threat. Liberals don’t know the difference between an action and a depiction of an action.

“gun noises” A mouth can not make a gun noise. A mouth can attempt to simulate a bang, but it can not reproduce the sound of a gun. A reproduction of a sound is not the sound.

This is not insanity. This is mind control. This is an attempt to criminalize the thought of a gun.

Check out the school board for Suffolk Public Schools. All but one is a former teacher. The other is a community activist. The school superintendent is one of Obama's people. This is like having the fox guard the hen house.

“that policy has tightened up in recent years because of widely publicized school shootings. “

A psychopath shoots children, and a boy points a pencil and makes noises attempting to simulate the sound of a gun. What is the connection? Only a liberal with his head up his a$$ would see a connection.

The progressive/submissive movement is really out of hand.

I sincerely wish more parents would take action to protest this "zero tolerance" insanity. Perhaps they could organize a week-long boycott of the school, which would affect its average daily attendance (ADA) numbers. If the school depends on ADA for funding, such a protest would hit where it hurts.

This isn’t just about guns. This is teaching people to obey passively even the silliest of irrationality and to do it without question or pay the consequences. Hence, the over-reaction toward anyone who steps out of line. Kids find themselves, not merely at the principle’s office, but oft-times handcuffed and arrested for nothing. This is new, its purposeful, and the purpose is not good.

This is intended to turn your kids into sheep. Uneducated sheep, at that.

So that is all one needs to do to get the graphite core to eject at high velocity from the pencil? Who knew? So very helpful now that regular ammo is so scarce.

As a child I made Thompson sub-machine guns out of two pieces of wood.

I high school shop class (metal and wood shop) In built a replica of a Kentucky log rifle. It looked beautiful and fully functional when done. Yet it was non-functional (half bore). I received an "A" in both classes and donated it to the school which then displayed it in the main trophy display case near the main entrance. This was in 1977.

How far we have fallen by letting the Liberal weenies have their say. The pendulum needs to swing the other way and fast.

I remember a few years ago when a little girl brought a Tweety Bird key chain to school with her house key on it. It had about 2 inches of jewelry chain. She was suspended for bringing a weapon to school. “A chain is a chain. We have zero tolerance.”

“A pencil is a weapon when it is pointed at someone in a threatening way and gun noises are made,”

A pencil is only a weapon if you stab someone with it. It is NOT a GUN. Anyone who thinks a pencil is a gun is mentally defective and should not be employed by a school. Anyone who thinks a child should be suspended from school for pretending a pencil is a gun is mentally defective.

We cannot abandon the schools and leave these crazy leftys in charge to infect the thousands of kids who remain. They must be ridiculed and hounded out of the school system as too stupid and incompetant to be educators. Once this type of idiocy results in some heads rolling it will stop.

I remember that too. I believe it was in Georgia. The father said he was removing his daughter.

No, a pencil is a weapon when I thrust it up from under your ribcage, right left and center, damaging your lungs and heart and causing death.
