American actor Val Edward Kilmer and actor and documentary filmmaker Sean Stone, son of Oscar-winner director Oliver Stone, are starring in this movie along with several Iranian actors. The screenplay is written by the U.S. documentarian and telefilm producer Scott J.T. Frank and Iranian actress and screenwriter Mina Masumi. cut/paste via cache'd page

Thanks. I heard Rush say today that his first day on radio was July 4, 1988 and he mentioned the plane incident.

If the Iranians are looking to make a domestic propaganda film, there should be plenty of excess propaganda skills at ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN etc. World class propagandists, in fact. I feel sure they would be happy to help......

I have actually watched some Iranian Propaganda videos over the past few years.

The production quality is, well, retarded.

It should be noted that pirated videos of American made movies is rampant in Iran. As a result, I suspect they are looking to introduce the higher quality, western production values to their propaganda message in order to rally their base of anti-American loyalists.

I know Aegis works. That airliner never had a chance.

I doubt they’ll tell the real story.

My understanding is that 2 Iranian F-14 Tomcats, left over from the Shah’s government, were flying tight underneath the airliner, using the Airbus to block their radar signature. The intent was to get close to the Vincennes and launch a couple of anti-ship missiles. When the Vincennes locked on to them, they broke off and left the airbus to take the incoming.

Typical Arab/terrorist tactic, to hide behind innocent civilians.

I wonder why the Vincennes didn’t nail them too. No longer incoming?
