John Bolton: Benghazi could bring down Obama administration
The Washington Times ^ | May 7, 2013 | Cheryl K. Chumley

Posted on 05/07/2013 10:29:47 PM PDT by Perseverando

The Benghazi scandal could be the final “hinge point” that brings down the Obama administration, former U.N. Ambassador John R. Bolton said.

“This could be the hinge point,” he said to Newsmax. “It’s that serious for them.”

Short article, but definitely worth a look.

I like John Bolton!

It certainly should bring it down. "No man left behind" is
more than an Army Ranger motto it's the character of America.

The witnesses who come to testify must name names. If they just repeat what has already been leaked to the press, the MSM will label it as “old news,” and declare that it is time to move on...

Something we’re not clued in on? Is one of these guys going to assert that Hilderbeast had an extra-marital affair with him?

Yes, it should bring him down. Lying about the attack being motivated by a video, changing the Intel from the initial reports, in making it look as though the attacks were due to demonstrations directed to that video, sending Susan Rice out to the press knowingly to lie for the administration. Hillary and her department covering up the attack as what difference does it make-to where she removed the terror attacks wording to even not allowing for our people to be protected in the first place then when they needed help; they failed them. Obama misleading the nation with a lie then to cover up the lie. I hope he gets impeached. If anyone ever deserves impeachment it would be Barry Obama. Hillary was a part of the cover up for her own political aspirations. That woman is corrupt.

Wishful thinking at best.

Wishing to win Powerball at an 850 million dollar purse will have better odds than wishing an end to Obama’s regime because of scandal.

Obama could have shot an infant point blank in the face on camera and not a damn thing would happen.

Does no one understand the history of Marxists and their regimes once they reach the level of power Obama’s has???

A complicit media, a complicit ‘opposition party’ - cronyism as far as the eye can see and imagine - none of this is going to tarnish His Heinous.

Some underlings will be thrown under the bus, perhaps even Hillary- but The Won? Nothing is going to touch him.

Marxist NEVER leave power once they achieve it, except by one means only.

And no one will even entertain the thought.

Obama is here to stay.

That’s just fact when a society is no longer governed by God or the Rule of law, but the rule of an ideology untethered by Law or biblical morality except a morality of their own design.

In a more decent American Benghazi certainly should bring Obama, but both Obama and his supporters in Congress lack the basic decency and honesty to ever admit and accept responsibility for their mistakes.

The article is worth a look but who has the cojones in our government to “bring down” the zero admin? It’s not the RINOs that supposedly represent us in DC. Who else?

We’ll be lucky if the MSM even sees fit to report this with anything more than a wink and a nod. Now if this had been Bush....not that Bush would have done something like this.

I hope he's right, but I have my doubts. I like what I've seen from Bolton, he's a good guy. But there are Dems around who were involved with Watergate, so they know how to defend what they once "prosecuted". Plus, they have their propaganda arm (the "news" media) helping the coverup.

IOW, both the Dems and the "media" know how to cover up a coverup.

I think that it is wishful thinking.

This was my first thought when I read the article.

In a just world, the entire administration would be in prison.

However, in the real world, nothing at all will happen.

Hillary and Obama will be laughing at all these hearings. They know the MSM will completely shield them.

I don’t think any move will come from DC without huge public support pushing them along. I keep thinking a raging twitter campaign might rock the boat. I was amazed at the traction #standwithrand got during the filibuster. Lots of tweets about/during the hearings may have some impact.

They lied to the American people about Benghazi repeatedly using the media spokesholes to do so. They continued to lie, even as most Americans could see through to the truth, due to reporting from foreign press. Only an idiot truly believed their lies,... or Bill O’Really.. because he likes to be “cool” with the administration. Such a farce, and how sad it is... while families mourn the loss and suffering of their loved ones. Despicable crime against the people of this country. The so called leader was absent when called upon to do his job... his appointed team... absent when called upon to do their job... the torture and suffering of those who were murdered in this attack is blood on the hands of POTUS and his team. All decent people should be outraged by this dereliction of duty and outrageous lies and coverup.

The GOP needs to grab its sack and impeach Obama over this

Even if the Senate votes not to convict...it still tarnishes Obama...kills any chance of him pulling a fast one and run again.....it tarnishes Hillary and kils her Presidential hopes....and it puts the Senators on record for supporting terrorism

“The only way I can lose this election is if I’m caught in bed with either a dead girl or a live boy”.
- Edwin Edwards

Obama is not even as vulnerable as Edwards. Obama could be caught in bed with a dead girl, a live boy, and a horse, and the news would be about his diverse perspective and how we need to broaden the definition of marriage now that Obama has evolved. We’d have gay “marriage”, polygamy, and an end to species bigotry in matrimony within a year. As for killing a few Americans in Benghazi with his incompetence, not many people will care, and the far left will back Obama no matter what.

“Marxist NEVER leave power once they achieve it, except by one means only.”

Twenty Democrat US Senators face reelection in 2014. Somebody said, “If you want a friend in DC, get a dog.” Those twenty democrats need for Obama and Obamacare to disappear. The Republicans can run against Obama and Obamacare despite the records of these Democrats bringing home the pork for their constituents. For self interest, they may abandon Obama and even vote to impeach.

All politics is local. In this case, I’d say all politics is personal.

My focus is on the legacy media, aren’t they taking it on the chin here, in a big way?

And it’s not just Benghazi, though Benghazi may represent the proverbial straw in the straw/camel metaphor.

We have an accumulation of liberal failures, from Obamacare (train wreck), the debt, the economy, the Gosnell trial, the attack on the Catholic Church, and the Boston bombings, all being evaluated now in a different light. We are no longer looking at what might happen, we are seeing what HAS happened.

If we look at the big picture, we have to conclude that that which liberals and the liberal media cherish above all-liberalism itself-is under seige. Liberalism is under seige not by reporting, or opinion, but by events. The results of liberal governance are now coming to the fore, and it’s not pretty.

Lots of chickens, lots of roosts. The effect is cumulative. Have you noticed your liberal friends aren’t so interested in talking politics anymore? I’m not sure it’s necessary for Obama to be impeached. What we conservatives told them would happen, is happening. Liberalism itself is being discredited and exposed by results and events.

The cumulative effect is causing the left to have to choose- protect your man, or protect your cherished ideology. Which way will you go, liberals?
