I still remember Colonel Gibson, he said, I have never been so embarrassed in my life that a State Department officer has bigger balls than somebody in the military. A nice compliment.
-- Greg Hicks, formerly the second-ranking U.S. diplomat in Libya, talking to congressional investigators about receiving word from a commander on the ground that Defense officials had refused a request to send troops to aid Americans besieged by Islamist militants.
The biggest news this week about the 2016 presidential election is not New Jersey Gov. Chris Christies weight-loss surgery.
Nor is it those on the right rallying against immigration legislation backed by Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla. The big story is Benghazi, because it involves the frontrunner, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. And the implications are serious.
Washington is on the edge of its seat as the House Oversight committee gets ready to hear testimony from whistleblowers who say that the Obama administration botched the response to the Sept. 11, 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate and then covered up the nature of the raid.
While Democrats express outrage that Republicans are politicizing the tragic events that led to the first killing of a U.S. ambassador since the Carter administration, everyone now agrees that not only was the situation mishandled but that the Obama administration didnt come clean.

Fixed. And let's hope so.
WHY HILLARY’s PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDACY MAY BE IN JEOPARDY ( That is, if enough Americans care ):
EXCERPT FROM FOX NEWS:
FOX News colleague James Rosen reports that another whistleblower will testify on Wednesday that Clinton tried to cut the agencys counterterrorism bureau out of the process during the attack. Clintons team denies the claim, but even in so doing, reaffirms her central role in the response and talking points about the attacks. No bystander was she.
Clinton has centered her defense on an internal review of her agencys conduct before, during and after the raid. The review lamented security preparations at the consulate, but that is another way of saying that if Republicans had been freer with funding for the State Department, better precautions would have been taken.
But that review itself is falling into disrepute as credible whistleblowers step forward and provide new details, the most damning of which is the claim that officials squelched an effort to send a handful of Special Operations troops to aid the doomed Americans.
Its not unreasonable for President Obama, Clinton and others to have decided that the loss of four Americans to an attack by Islamist militants was preferable to expanding the fight and risking a larger, bloodier and more potentially embarrassing battle in Libyan rebel capital. It is not reasonable, though, to mislead the public about such a decision.
Asking that Americans die in the line of duty in service of a larger policy aim is nothing new. Saying that there was no choice when there were at least some options, crosses a line. Changing talking points to support a false account of events would cross yet another. Doing so eight weeks before an election would be really rotten.
Even though this bimbo has never displayed even a hint of talent, she is the choice of the MSM (fellow sharers of no talent) and will be anointed into the despised class of non-achieving lawyers.
“Asking that Americans die in the line of duty in service of a larger policy aim is nothing new.”
With the left, that “larger policy aim” is always the advancement of collectivist power.
Look for Hillary to walk away from all this, and not bothering to run in 2016.
2008 candidate Hillary had these pics in the primary
contest against Obomba---but Teddy Kennedy warned
the Clintons not to use them
Obama's brother Malik holds up photo.
A trip to his Kenyan homeland---when Obomba was 23-24.
I cringe even more now when the play the segment where she presents the false scenarios about who killed the Americans at Benghazi. People mad because of a video, or guys out for a stroll who decided to kill Americans. ALL THE TIME, she KNEW that neither choice was true. In their private moments, what intense pain and grief MUST the family members feel KNOWING beyond reasonable doubt that she openly lied? And there is still at least one person who is still hospitalized. What must that person’s family be feeling?
Such corruption is a resume ENHANCER for any demonicrat candidate. She’ll be a shoe-in.
Imagine if Americans were savvy and informed.... Were that the case, these evil bastards would never have come to power.
Thanks for posting.
What difference does it make? The NBA has a fag.
Try to Remember
I don’t like the title of this article...I think we need to focus on justice for the victims and their families.
I wasnt involved in the talking points process.... As I understand it, as Ive been told, it was a typical interagency process where staff, including from the State Department, all participated, to try to come up with whatever was going to be made publicly available, and it was an intelligence product.
With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided to go kill some Americans? What difference at this point does it make?Hillary Clinton
Comment; This is the nation that put into our highest office "The Divine One." This country is now filled with invaders from the "Third World." They will vote for Hillary even if she confessed to malfeasance as she gives our cash to the invaders. We are no longer the America of even 20 years ago. America has become not a "people" but is a babbling polygot mob.
Eight minutes to go before hopefully CSPAN3 presents live video feed.
I browsed the network and cable websites.
Fox has a prominent story, complete with photo of burning compound.
CNN has a minor story, but at least its mentioned.
CBS also has a minor story.
All the others are using the three kidnapped women as their main story, along with sideline stories about the guy who helped one escape, etc....they are using this ‘big story’ to shove Libya coverage out of the lime light.
We shall see how they cover it tonight.
