Residents of a small New Mexico border town woke Wednesday to the sounds of helicopters, bangs and screaming as federal and local agents conducted an early morning sweep on at least two homes.
Anthony police spokeswoman Mary Hall said a team of local and federal law enforcement agents, including SWAT teams, served several warrants around town before dawn. She said she did not know what type of warrants were served or any of the targets.

They had warrants as the article says. This is near El Paso and Nuevo Laredo and could be a big bust.

This is when we need locals on the ground for intel. I wish it was narco-terrorists, but I’m afraid they’re after the law-abiding. Anyone in Canutillo?

No they don’t need warrants...didn’t you see CBS “News” last week...maybe it was “SUNDAY MORNING”...this part of the country doesn’t really belong to us...we “stole” it from Mexico in 1846...so it’s theirs, not ours...the Constitution doesn’t apply in Mexico.

Looking for those Amish smugglers probably.Amish have a difficult time blending in with the local gentry. Their beards are too neatly trimmed, and their fake tattoos aren't very good.

This is near El Paso and Nuevo Laredo and could be a big bust. Anthony, TX/NM is over 600 miles from Nuevo Laredo. Were you thinking of Juarez?

That’s similar to saying something that happened in Washington DC might be geographically related to things happening in Nashville Tennessee.
And when discussing Alaska, it just gets ridiculous to think of the size. Yet, are any two states more hated, dismissed, and disrespected by the overgrown city sized states back east? They are like counties that got out of hand.
