I predicted on this forum that this guy’s life would be turned upside down and every private action would be broadcast around the world. Sick, sick society.
I think its great. A real guy on the street gets to be the hero.
Looterman redux.
Somehow this was predictable from his initial f-bomb filled 911 call. And now someone else claims that he was there first to rescue Amanda Berry. He should keep his mouth shut or his background will be publicized too.

It’s the desire to observe unscripted, human reaction to intense situations.
We’re tired of Police reporters telling us, “Those details are still under investigation.”
Boy, I’ll tell you my reaction and it includes a like I have always had for “regular people”. This is a regular guy, even more so a poor guy with limited education and probably run ins with the law, etc.
It amazes me that reporters and writers just can’t get over the real people that are out there, they have to analyze the fact this guy actually has a personality, that he’s not afraid of their stupid camera.

Per the Smoking Gun and other mouthpieces that are quite willing to dredge up Ramsey’s past, he’s obviously someone with a checkered past.
BUT....
Unlike so many in this country, he TOOK ACTION at the right time when someone called for help.
Despite all his past warts, Ramsey deserves thanks from a society that is all too often more willing to piss all over itself while frozen with fear and uncertainty when a distress call goes out.
“You do what you’ve got to do.”
The key is... he was willing to act at that right time.
I think that this story is in the Brother’s Karamazov. It’s an old Russian folk tale of a woman who does one good thing in her life by giving a poor person an onion to put in his soup and after she dies as she is flying towards hell, she sees that onion and grabs it and hanging on to it escapes hell and heads towards Purgatory instead. C.S. Lewis would recognize this man as one who had some much going against him and his one good act is so much more full of grace than the best thing any of us normal people with good constitutions and education etc could ever hope for.
