I have no proof yet, but IMO, it wasn’t a BB gun. IMO, the pellets they speak of are plastic. It’s a toy, not even a BB gun.

Well, I'll go against the grain and state that a BB gun is not a “toy”. And to be shooting at a park with other kids and families around is stupid. Fine him $100 for a misdemeanor and hope he learns his lesson.
Now - it if was one of those air guns shooting the little plastic pellets (which it probably/hopefully was) - the good people of NY should go back to clamping down on the REAL criminals carrying 48 ounces sodas and stuff.
