The False Alarm Over U.S. Fertility

AS a bipartisan group of senators prepares to release its plan for comprehensive immigration reform, a curious argument is emerging from across the political spectrum: the United States needs immigration to make up for its declining birthrate.

“Over the next three decades, annual population growth for the working-age population will be less than a third of what it was over the last 60 years,” President Obama’s economic adviser Alan B. Krueger told the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in March. “Given current trends, nearly all of the growth of the nation’s working-age population in the next 40 years will be accounted for by immigrants and their children.”

Conservatives, including the anti-tax activist Grover G. Norquist, have embraced the argument. Last week, the American Action Forum, led by the Republican budget expert Douglas Holtz-Eakin, found that immigration legislation could raise the annual rate of economic growth by nearly 1 percentage point, partly because it would help with “low U.S. birthrates.”

Mark Levin is on the air now providing a crystal clear picture of the utter devastation that will result from this evil immigration bill.

Essentially, if this bill passes, our Republic will cease to exist in 2050. It will be a decaying third world sewer.

We will morph from a Constitutional Republic, to a balkanized democracy that will reflect what is seen in many third world countries.

These evil gang of 8 traitors will help put the final nail in the coffin of America as founded.

Levin stated that over 50 million immigrants currently in America do not speak English on a daily basis. Our own government isn't pushing to have English as the primary language.

Another ingredient in this disastrous mix.

Speaking of disaster, I was surprised to hear Grover Norquist lobbying FOR the immigration bill. Then I saw posts here at FR castigating him for his Muslim connections and Muslim/Palestinian wife. Is he hoping for a lot of Islamic immigration? After reading those posts and comments, I now wonder if his whole “no new taxes” pledge was part of an Islamic plan to weaken our military and country in general by totally eliminating any flexibility in Congress. I don’t want my son, currently in Afghanistan, to finish out his 20 years in a weakened military. I certainly don’t want a weakened military for my sons and grandchildren, not to mention everyone else.

The “declining birth rate” is mostly among liberals. That’s why amnesty is so important to the DemocRat party — they’re being slowly buried by conservatives.

A declining birthrate to go along with our reclining industry. There aren’t any jobs now why bring in more people to stay out of work.

Liberals don’t need to have children. They’re brainwashing everyone else’s. Home or private schooling is great, but the majority still go to public school.

Yep its a big concern. During Bush years, our birth rate was healthy 2.1-2.2 children per women. Now it’s 1.89 and dropping.....

Even if true the US Senate has no right maniupulating the labor market through unfettered illigal immigration!

Speaking of disaster, I was surprised to hear Grover Norquist lobbying FOR the immigration bill.

Grover Norquist has been the leading proponent in Washington, DC and in the Republican Party for amnesty for many years.

Guess we are missing the almost 60,000,000 citizens murdered in the womb, thanks to the Democrats sacrament of abortion.

Our punishment will be severe.
