Found more info.

http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_PLANT_EXPLOSION_TEXAS?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2013-05-10-11-58-22

Investigators have largely treated the West Fertilizer Co. blast that killed 14 people as an industrial accident, but the Texas Department of Public Safety said in statement that the agency has now instructed the Texas Rangers and the McLennan County Sheriff’s Department to conduct a criminal probe.

Criminal as in negligence of the plant..
Or criminal as in someone deliberately caused it to blow up?

After reading it, sounds like criminal as if someone blew it up.

The agency has now instructed the Texas Rangers and the McLennan County Sheriff’s Department to conduct a criminal probe.

Texas Rangers aren’t usually brought into it unless someone needs tracking down.

Plus, you wouldn’t need Texas Rangers to look into criminal negligence.

Wow!!! I told my wife the day this tragedy occurred...it smelled of a terror plot!!! The Obama administration treated it like an accident. Once the feds got on-site and did not come up with a quick explanation....I knew something was brewing. Now....I have no idea who would do such a thing...other then a twisted mind or determined terrorists, homegrown or foreign....but where there is smoke there is fire. IMHO....as long as Barack Hussein “Benghazim Muslim Brotherhood” Obama remains POTUS, America and its citizens are in harms way!!!

Really? Blow the plant to cover-up the theft of explosive materials, perhaps? Related at all to the theft in Montana, I wonder?

1) First the guns (Sandy Hook),
2) Then gun powder/fireworks (Boston bombings),
3) Then fertilizer (Texas plant)..

That about covers it. Is there anything else related to attacks that the lefty Congress critters need to write an amendment to ban?

Yeah.

I think someone set the fire, lured the first responders in and then set off the blast in order to kill as many as possible.

Interesting. It’s not surprising to me if this was done on purpose as I found it suspicious when it happened. Of course, then I figured that it is a fertilizer plant and accidents happen, so it was certainly possible that it was an accident.

This got so little media coverage when it happened because everything was focused on the Boston Marathon Bombing. The media is seemingly unable to focus on two things at once. Little has been said about it after the Boston Marathon Bombing coverage has settled down, and you’d think that the media might interview survivors and those who lost loved ones, maybe 20/20 or one those news shows do something on it (if they did, I missed it). I’m sure this would have been different if it occurred in one of the big cities like New York, Los Angeles, etc.

Make no mistake, the motive for the DHS ammo buys is to deprive citizens from buying ammo. This is ‘Fast & Furious II’ with a twist. This is probably the brain child of Eric Holder. F&F one was to frame FFLs/firearms dealers. F&F two is to deplete citizen’s supply of ammo. What good are firearms without ammo?

Are you familar with the Texas City Explosion? Fire on an ship carrying ammonium nitrate, just like this.

TEXAS CITY DISASTER
http://www.tshaonline.org/handbook/online/articles/lyt01

One of the worst disasters in Texas history occurred on April 16, 1947, when the ship SS Grandcamp exploded at 9:12 A.M. at the docks in Texas City. The French-owned vessel, carrying explosive ammonium nitrate produced during wartime for explosives and later recycled as fertilizer, caught fire early in the morning, and while attempts were being made to extinguish the fire, the ship exploded. The entire dock area was destroyed, along with the nearby Monsanto Chemical Company, other smaller companies, grain warehouses, and numerous oil and chemical storage tanks.

Homemade firecrackers are considered destructive devices. These guys were first responders. Not the destructive types, in all odds.

Posted on Facebook on Tuesday....His own brother died in that fire. :(

“So, I will say it AGAIN!!! I have not received ONE CENT for ANYTHING that I did to help with this situation. I have not been paid by the media, by press, I made nothing for delivering my brothers eulogy, and made NOTHING off of this tragedy. I was a shoulder to cry on, I found a GREAT new family, and was blessed to get to tell them about their son. THIS IS NOT ABOUT ME!!! IT IS ABOUT 12 HEROS THAT DIED TO SAVE LIVES!!!!! I am blessed to be alive. Period. I lost a lot in this and there have been INCREDIBLY kind people who are taking donations so I can get a HOME AND LIFE back, however, never would I PROFIT from anyones death. I loved and still love Cyrus A. Reed, and he loved me. I did and will do what I thought was right. Was I emotionally devistated? Hell yes I was. Have your brother die, your town explode, your crew be emotionally wrecked, and in the midst of it have your wife leave you because you are lost in your own emotions: ALL IN THE SAME WEEK, and see how you fare. People I am doing my BEST to hold myself together, but please for the love of God quit picking me apart. I have to bury yet ANOTHER friend tomorrow. God Bless”

This anchor was blown from the S.S. Grandcamp when this ship blew up on April 16, 1947, while moored at Texas City Terminal docks. The anchor, which weighed approximately 3200 lbs. originally, was projected from the ship to a point on Pan American property at 2000-S and 2160-E, sinking about 10 feet into the soil in landing. The distance traveled from the ship to point of landing was 1.62 miles or 8575 lin. ft.

It is no surprise a large amount of ammonia nitrate, after being in a fire, would cause such a large explosion.

Well, of course, I had NO idea of it’s destructive power. Should have, though, after what happened in OKC.

I just pray that this young man is innocent of these charges. I never want to think badly of a first responder. Ever!

Same name. Very close. Considered him a brother. But not related.

There is so little out there on this story, I tried to find out more when it happened. I know the Boston bombing took away the MSM but not much in the local news from there either. A friend of ours lives 20 miles from there and said he has heard little about it on his news since the first couple of days.
