House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) and Subcommittee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio.) issued the following statement:

The fact that Americans were targeted by the IRS because of their political beliefs is unconscionable. The Committee will aggressively follow up on the IG report and hold responsible officials accountable for this political retaliation.

This is the perfect opportunity to rid ourselves of the IRS and go to the Fair Tax. The IRS is now without a doubt the enforcer for the DNC and it’ll only get worse once Obamacare goes into full effect. The IRS has been co-opted and corrupted by the DNC machine.

Again, evidence that Obama means to convert the USA into a fascist state. The IRS will be the enforcement of redistribution of wealth for the Obama fascist government.

Congress needs to surpress Obama and his fascists Czars.Or soon we will have to fight as a people against our own government.

Issa needs to act. This is criminal conduct on the part of the IRS. It is also a violation of civil rights, a federal offence.

In other news “Today the sun rose”. In other shocking news “today it was found that the sky is blue.” Please, how long has this been going on? The only thing newsworthy about it is they admit it for once, but it doesn’t mean they will stop.

Who wants to be the Republican nominee for 2016?

Whoever it is, they will investigate this and if warranted, go after this full-throttle. They will push to have top people at the IRS named and publicly fired, and make sure this is headline news.

Its a winning issue for whoever wants to grab it.

What did Obama know and when did he order it?

Tax Audits Are No Laughing Matter
A president shouldn’t even joke about abusing IRS power.

You really think this happened because of true regret or that hearings by people like Rep Issa would reach down their throat and pull their hearts out?

It will happen to the IRS regardless as they are the designated hatchet men for Obamacare. When power changes in Congress and it inevitably does, someone is going to answer for that implementation. I guarantee it won't be Urkel.

Au contraire, it was never co-opted or corrupted; it was corrupt from its inception. The IRS was the brainchild of international banking.

It’s only purpose ever was to allow for the creation of government debt.

Without the tax collection by force mechanism, Treasury bonds could not be sold in enormous volumes, since there would be very little guarantee of the government’s ability to pay the bonds.

The leader of the charge for the Federal Reserve - and moving money creationg from the Treasury to the Fed was Paul Warburg - I would suggest reading up on Paul Warburg. One cannot possibly understand the IRS and the Fed without reading up on the characters of that time.

The American people have been, since then, trapped into having their incomes reported and taxed in order to pay for runaway government spending, which would be impossible on the scale that it is happening without the IRS and the Fed combination.

Hey, it’s their 100th anniversary - WHY is the media - even Fox - not covering this EVERY DAY all year ? It’s a big story. It’s a milestone.

A senior official from the Internal Revenue Service conceded Friday afternoon that she is “not good at math” during a conference call on the IRS targeting of conservative groups during the 2012 election:

This alone is reason enough to go to a fair tax or sales tax. This is improper, to say the very least.

This should be a capital crime. If they give a cop three years in jail for stealing $75, then they should execute IRS officials who helped steal the presidential election.

I’d be happy to perform as a member of the firing squad.

SHOCK: IRS Admits to Targeting Conservative Groups During 2012 Election, Apologizes

Apologizes?

THIS INVOLVES A CRIMINAL ACT, AND CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT A FELONEOUS ACT.

I am not an attorney and can't be more specific, but it is obvious to me that there is a rot in our governing political system where justice has been subverted, and a large criminal subculture has been running rampant for a few years now. With impunity.

There has been a long standing principle that elected and appointed administrators cannot be sued or attacked for the performance of their ordinary duties, which makes total sense.
This, however, cannot suggest that they are immune from prosecution and punishment for abuse of power in the commission of clearly criminal activity against individuals or groups chosen for arbitrary and capricious costly and disruptive attacks, meant to intimidate, extort or destroy, politically or financially.

The remedy is an APOLOGY??!!??

At the very least, any individual should lose his/her job permanently, and all accrued benefits, in additional to serious jail time.

I will leave elaboration to those Freepers with experience and expertise in legal matters. But clearly, there is a need for remedy, if one does not presently exist.
We see abuse, with impunity, from the dystopic Federal bureaucracy, the offices of the President, Attorney General, the Department of State, the environmental alphabet soup agencies, The State Department, The highest leadership of our military services, and others, which affect the daily life of hundreds of millions --- for the worse.

Focusing on a presently hot topic, the abuse by the IRS, it is so outrageous and egregious, that it should make the blood boil in every engaged citizen...

"Organizations were singled out [for audit, endless illegal requests for privileged information, etc] if they included the words "tea party" or "patriot" in their applications for tax-exempt status, said Lois Lerner, who heads the IRS division that oversees tax-exempt groups."
That this was arbitrary and capricious and blatantly politically motivated is beyond doubt.

"Lerner said the practice was initiated by low-level workers in Cincinnati and was not motivated by political bias.
First of all that is a blatant lie. Let her repeat that under oath and add another felony to her list. Similar attacks were contemporaneously initiated in IRS offices nationwide prior to the 2012 elections.
I may not me a MENSA member, but since when is a criminal entitled to conclude that his/her criminal behavior "was not motivated by political bias?"
Is the bank robber entitled to claim (with a straight face) that his inclination to rob banks "is not influenced by his aversion to honest work and greed?"

The bureaucratic response is puerile and almost moronic.

Will they get away with it?

It’s the enforcer for both parties. Time to dissolve the miserable agency. It doesn’t happen because neither party wants it gone.

Funny, the words “Arrested” and “Prison” did not appear in this article about a very serious crime.
