I hope that Richwine lands on his feet. We need intellectual honesty about important issues.
“In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.” —George Orwell
The truth hurts. It usually hurts the truth teller the most.
Nice one and it applies in spades, er, overwhelming today.
AP, who cannot find something nice to write about the Herritage Foundation if it were attached to their backside was quick to find this matter and send it along.
That is sad to hear.....it will only encourage our enemies.
The truth is the truth!
Is the assertion about immigrants having lower IQs factually incorrect, or do people just not want to hear it because it’s politically incorrect?
Wonder who at Heritage pushed him out. I don’t believe this was his decision alone.
Unbelievable how weak our side are!
As if a mere journalist could even get past simple multiplication tables.
The truth runs up against political correctness and Truth loses. Welcome to the USSA.
The comment was unhelpful. It was a huge distraction and only made it easy for the liberals to dismiss the report.
They got him.
Telling the truth might not make you attract a lot of fiends, but you’ll make the right friends.
Political Correctness is like a virus. It infects and infests everything.
Even the Heritage Foundation.
A “conservative” from Harvard writes a piece that offers red meat to those who want to bash conservatism in the press.
Hint: anyone who graduates from Harvard is not truly conservative.
It’s called killing resistence to immigration reform in conservative circles from the inside out.
That’s why you frame both sides of the argument.
This is how the establishment works.
Harvard is one of the few schools where the elite establishment have always sent their children who will one day take over the reins.
Some take on the “liberal” persona, others take on the “conservative” persona.
But if they go into the power circles after graduation, they’re ultimately all working for the big money people.
One more note: no worries about Richwine. Harvard grads can always land on their feet and do quite well.
And it only applies to guns and/or conservatives.
Why the hell would he resign? His resignation, whether his idea or the HF’s, just lends credence to the idea that he did something wrong when he didn’t.
THIS is why we are losing, folks. Conservatives cower in fear and go away when we should tell our opponents to go jump in the lake.
Wonder who at Heritage pushed him out. I dont believe this was his decision alone.Don't know who pushed him out, but you would think the President of the Heritage Foundation could have prevented it.
Unbelievable how weak our side are!
They don’t have “low IQs”, they are merely uneducated and seeking low skill trades. They “only want the jobs nobody in America will do”.
And then we are told about how brilliant their children are and how they should go to our universities (and seek the jobs that other citizens DO want).
I have a mother in law from Mexico who is a resident and still doesn’t speak English after 32 years.
My wife is the ONLY one in her family making it and the best thing that happened to her was getting kicked out of her mom’s house when she was 17.
Currently a 14 year old little sister in law was accepted into a Los Angeles High School and she can’t tell you what 13-4 is. Low IQ? Comes from a lower class section of a country where the mom had only a second grade education and passed it on?
My wife is the exception. Her memory is a vault (especially if I do something wrong she wants to remember), but what we have coming in should be forced to make it or leave. NO SOCIAL PROGRAM ASSISTANCE.
I may be zinged for say this, but what a wimp. If you don’t stand up for your work, then good riddance!
I doubt Richwine’s “resignation” was voluntary.
Mmm, yes, but there are ways of telling it that can be twisted and used against you, and ways of telling it that cut off the knees of the enemy.
Amen and Mega Dittoes. The R party is filled with wimps and cowards.
Yeah, but you can't say it! ...it's hurtful & disrespectful.
The world we live in today.
He resigned because? My scenario....I think it was a case of resign or be fired. Who at Heritage accepted the “resignation” and/or who threatened to fire him?
DeMint kinda disappointed me. I believe he ‘coulda been a contender.’
For the 2012 race. He was asked. He floated up trial ballons. But in the end - he did not run.
He would have been tons better then Mitt, but....
Plenty of Chamber-of-Commerce types at Heritage. I think it’s miraculous they oppose open borders at all.
This is one example of why the Heritage Foundation gets nothing from me.
It sounds to me like this guy is assuming that all recent immigrants are dirt-poor Mexican peasants crawling into the USA to take advantage of government handouts. But if the new amnesty bill passes, they’ll be flooding in from all over the world (including China). A blanket statement like his is just stupid. IQ varies from individual to individual, not from culture to culture. Generations ago they said the same thing about Irish immigrants, and Italian immigrants, and East European Jewish immigrants, etc.
The Richwine thesis has not been disproved and has many elements of reality about it.
The high IQs in hell-hole countries scheme as to the best way to exploit the masses for their own good.
The lower IQs know they’re not making it and just want a better life.
His findings were part of his Harvard doctoral thesis. Harvard gave him the PhD so he had to have defended his claims successfully.
Naturally the left is going to ignore this little detail.
Doesn’t it make sense that we could be of more help to immigrants if we knew the truth about them and what they need?
Why is ignoring the obvious considered compassion in this country?
Please read Mr. Richwine’s excellent article at the above link.
The Fiscal Cost of Unlawful Immigrants and Amnesty to the U.S. Taxpayer
Then email The Heritage Foundation to express your disappointment that they threw Mr. Richwine under the bus for telling the truth.
This is so wrong. He deserves kudos.
Mexico is sending us it's most undesirable citizens, criminal insurgents etc to invade the USA to colonize it. No wonder they are the lower IQ types, the others are either "connected" or waiting for the grunts to finish the hard work of La Raza'ing our country and doing all they can to bring down the economy, then the "elites" will be set up to use the ones already here to support them as the conquerors.
- How low will supporters of the Gang of Eight immigration bill go to get their way? This low: They've shamelessly branded an accomplished Ivy League-trained quantitative analyst a "racist" and will stop at nothing to destroy his career as they pave their legislative path to another massive illegal alien benefits bonanza. Jason Richwine works for the conservative Heritage Foundation. He's a Harvard University Ph.D. who co-authored a study that pegs the cost of the Ted Kennedy Memorial Open Borders Act 2.0 legislation at $6.3 trillion. Lead author Robert Rector is a senior research fellow at Heritage, a former United States...
It is amazing that this guy’s paper he did in years ago matters but Obama’s doesn’t
IQ by country
Richwine’s thesis was written well before he joined Heritage. If they thought it would be a liability, they should not have hired him in the first place.
I agree completely. Its the number two thing that bothers me the most about our side. We don’t defend our own when under attack. Why should we expect anyone to stand on priciple, when fellow soliders run for the tall grass after the first shots are fired.
Oh, the number one thing? When conservatives refer to any media they disagree with as “mainstream media”
What a bunch of wimps. Yes we sure are the old USSR.
2009 Ph.D. dissertation comments - did he get his Doctorate or did he have to rewrite?
So what? As much noise is this is making, it wouldn't have mattered if they had fired him. Everyone knows he was shown the door.
I was given that choice, and I took Door Number 2. I was hurt and humiliated for number of years, but, the way the organization has devolved, I now consider it a badge of honor. Sad to see The Heritage Foundation going in the same direction.
All immigrants? I work at a nursing home and today the administrator had several doctors in for lunch. Two appeared to be Indian and one maybe Chinese, and one I’m not sure, but none were “American”. The future of medicine in America. I doubt they have low IQs.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he did choose to leave on his own. If he is principled and believes what he’s written (which I’m sure he does) he also realizes that the controversy is nothing but a distraction to benefit the left and he wouldn’t want to be part of that distraction any more than he already is.
Exactly...and I just rejoined!!!
We’re falling for everything!
This excerpt from the posted article should answer your question:
“’The average IQ of immigrants in the United States is substantially lower than that of the white native population, ... .’ He argued that ... allowing in immigrants with high IQs would help solve the problems.”
Does anyone in the GOP have a backbone
Whether he left on his own, or was pushed out...it just helps the Hispanic Ku Klux Klan and like groups pass Illegal Alien Amnesty
And they can kiss my underside if they don’t like the term Hispanic Ku Klux Klan
