By your logic, no conservative should pray in their church, for fear a “reporter” will cover it.
Her words were appropriate for a prayer meeting if this was her message. Not appropriate for a press conference.
Well, how reliable can mathematics be? Mathematics tells us that evolutionary theory is not possible.

No need to be so negative. I don’t think anyone’s flushing morals down the toilet here, at least I’m certainly not. As someone suggested above, this was appropriate for the occasion, but wouldn’t have been appropriate in a press interview.
There is a widely held view among people of all faiths that those nations that stray from the path of righteousness suffer disaster. Zedekiah’s Israel is a good example.
Regardless, I believe that these human disasters were direct results of incompetence much like similar incidents in the past. Punishment from God would have been far more significant, Biblical in proportion.
