Why Obama released embarrassing IRS bombshell Michele Bachmann explains White House's willingness

The Internal Revenue Service under the Obama administration – described by Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., as the “most feared government agency” – admitted Friday it targeted conservative and tea-party groups during last year’s election because of their politics.

Bachmann, a former tax attorney, told WND in an interview the IRS admission means the credibility of the 2012 election is in doubt.

Americans, she said, should be wondering whether Obamacare, which is to be enforced by the IRS, will target conservative voices opposed to President Obama with delays or denials of medical care.

But why would an administration ever confess to such a flagrant misuse of politics and power?

Bachmann, who chairs the House Tea Party caucus, said it’s the Benghazi scandal.

“There’s no doubt this was not a coincidence that they dumped this story today, a Friday dump day,” Bachmann told WND. “This is when they put their negative stories out.”

But she said the looming storm cloud called Benghazi is the “soft underbelly” of the Obama administration and likely will keep Hillary Clinton from fulfilling her dream of occupying the Oval Office.

I've been saying this myself. Fortunately the idiot in the white house wasn't bright enough to realize that it was just as bad as Benghazi.

In other words, we’ll let you have the IRS if you stop talking about Benghazi, right?

Old Clinton administration strategy, overload the little minds of the sheeple and make a clean getaway with everything in the confusion.
As in the old cowboy movies, the MSM will drag brush to cover the tracks.

He see using the full brunt of the government to crush opposition as a positive.

It's the Chicago way!

“This admission by the IRS represents a significant victory for free speech and freedom of association. There was never any doubt that these organizations complied with the law and applied for tax exempt status for their activities as Americans have done for decades. And for the many tax-exempt groups we represent, this is an important day – and underscores the need to stand-up and defend your constitutional freedoms.” .

This is a victory for Freedom only if someone in the Obama administration pays a price for this assault on Constitutional Freedoms.

I very much doubt that there will be any accountability for these actions by the administration. If there is it will be a low level administration thrown under the bus to save the true instigators at the top.

I offer another view - Obama knows this is as "bad" as Benghazi. However the IRS caper does not involve his heir apparent, Hitlery. Das party must protect her.

He has his second election behind him and is well along the way to "re-shaping" the country. So he is taking one for the team

That will also push Bubba out of party patron leadership as we all forgive in a year or two.

Actually the IRS admission is much more important to Americans because it affects hundreds of thousands of us directly.

Instead of wagging the dog, Obama is now wagging the bus.

Sorry, I gotta disagree. Friday is when the regime releases it's most embarrassing stories so that by Monday morning Jay Carney can claim, "That happened a long time ago... next item."

The regime gladly releases negative stories 24/7.

It was and still is a mystery. They do nothing out of benevolence.

It strikes me as very odd, this damning admission of using the IRS in such a blatantly political way...in run-up to a Presidential election.

I am still confused. It's hard for me to believe that they thought this would slow down the Benghazi inquiry.

Is there something else here?

BINGO. The MSM are the masters at sleight of hand tactics: the right hand has benghazi, left hand has the IRS.

In the real world all of these allegations would pile up and force the removal of the instigators.

In he Bizarro world of Obama and the Media he uses one to escape the other. Throw crap out there and keep it ricocheting around in order to keep one thing from building into a crisis.

It seems nothing is enough to bring this crazed Administration down.

We have people dead-—No problem
Health care destroyed-—No Problem
Guns supplied to Mexican cartels—No problem
Egypt sold out to Muslim Brotherhood—No Problem
Bankruptcy-—No Problem, just print more money.

From Michelles’ lips to God’s ears. I happen to think Satan is controlling this situation and we, without God’s intervention, will be unlikely to stop hildabeast .

...the IRS demanded copies of every single post to every single organization website page, Twitter feed and Facebook feed.

In the end, this isn't merely about the current occupant of the White House. It is about the inevitability of the use of totalitarian power by a government unchecked either by Congressional oversight, or media watchdogs.
