14 inmates seen on a shocking video shot in Orleans Parish Prison have been arrested [sic] on contraband and weapons charges, according to the Orleans District Attorney's office.

The shocking videos shown in federal court showed a loaded handgun, drugs, and alcohol inside a locked cell at Orleans Parish Prison.
The video was shown turning [sic]testimony during a lawsuit brought by the Southern Poverty Law Center over conditions at the troubled jail facility.
In the video, inmates can be seen pulling cans of beer from a cooler in the cell, and another inmate displays an apparently loaded Glock handgun. The inmate holding the gun unloads three bullets from the gun to prove it's loaded.

First time I can remember the vile SPLC having produced anything remotely useful, even if it is only entertaining, humor or "shocking."
And I'm still puzzling over how an inmate gets "arrested." Wouldn't 'arraigned' or 'charged' be more accurate?
Then again, considering their degree of freedom there in the New Orleans jail, it would be hard to call their conditions typical of those under arrest.
Was the warden arrested?????
EXACTLY! The corruption on display here is staggering. Needs to be a warden and apparently a lot of guards made unemployed, then made inmates.
Is this a Mexican prison? Insane!

You have to remember that NO used to be French.
Referring to the female guards in the Baltimore jail, I have to ask how many female Guards they have there.

An inmate was out walking around? Hey folks! Come to New Orleans and rub shoulders with the inmates on Bourbon Street! Have the vacation of your life....though you might lose it.
If they “catch a new charge” while they’re already in jail, I believe there’s a new arrest and they are often transferred to another jail facility to await their first hearing on the new charge. They can be served with civil complaints wh9ile incarcerated, too. The sherrif’s deputy has to call them out to deliver the papers. The ones who serve warrants and such are usually not the same ones who serve as jail guards.
It’s SPLC’s stopped-clock moment. That said, heads should roll, and not just among the inmates.

(Sure is a funny kind of lock-up, though, isn't it? More than just "three-hots-and-a-cot" above their situation while "free," on the streets. At least it's hard to tell the difference between the medium to long-term lock-up and the neighborhood crack house...
