Authorities have arrested a 12-year-old boy in the fatal stabbing of his 8-year-old sister at her home in a quiet Northern California community last month. Calaveras County Sheriff Gary Kuntz told reporters at a news conference that the boy was taken into custody Saturday afternoon and will be charged with homicide, Fox40.com reported. "Citizens of Calaveras County can sleep a little better tonight," Kuntz said. The April 27 attack shook the tightknit Valley Springs community of about 7,400 people and set off a massive manhunt. The boy had told police that he encountered an intruder in the home and described the man as being tall with long gray hair.

Not to be cold, but if he used a gun well the reaction would be the usual.
He was on my suspect list early on.
I feared he’d done it as well.
Of course, then they said someone else saw a man running away and I was ashamed of myself for my suspicions, but lo and behold... here we are.
When the police fail, they always go for the family.
Has the kid confessed to stabbing his sister?
Did the Police find the murder weapon yet?
If so, does it match the stab injuries?
Was the boy properly read his marinada rights?
Did he have legal represetation present during questioning/interrogation?
Was his sisters DNA & finger prints found in the boys room?
Who else knows you well enough to want you dead?
Weird writing. He stabbed his sister at “her home.” Was it not his home as well? If not, give us some detail!
Yep, it just didn't feel right. It's sad there are so many mentally defective and evil people.
I wonder if the neighbor said she saw someone as a way of protecting the brother.
A family has lost both children.
Perhaps your life experiences differ greatly from mine, but I’ve never even come close to wanting a sibling dead.
You didn’t know my mother and my aunt.
As soon as I read this, I thought that her brother had done it. Very sad - prayers for the parents and all involved.
I would guess they are. Ive never even come close to wanting a sibling dead, either, but then again, I’m an only child.
I had also heard the report that a second person saw someone leaving the house. However, I then saw an inteview with someone from local law enforcement that gave the impression that they were backing away from the report of a second witness. I also thought it was the brother all along. Why would an "intruder" who is heartless enough to kill an 8 year old girl leave the brother behind as a witness who could identify him?
I have a simple question too, one that NEVER seems to be asked.
What freaking psysotrophic drugs is/was this kid on??
In all of these incidents, this question never gets asked, and I am sure the drugging of kids plays a big part in these things,.
His story just didn’t hold water. He didn’t hear anything but could describe the “suspect.” So many man hours wasted looking for the mystery suspect.
