Republicans slam IRS targeting of Tea Party as 'chilling,' a form of intimidation
Fox News / The Associated Press ^ | May 12, 2013

Washington Republicans on Sunday characterized the IRS targeting Tea Party groups and other conservative political organizations as “chilling” and intimidating acts that heighten Americans' mistrust in government.

Their comments follow the IRS acknowledgment Friday that the agency targeted such groups during the 2012 election cycle to see whether they were violating their tax-exempt status -- a revelation followed by a report that such activity dated back to the previous year......

People say nearly all previous administrations have done like-wise. However in my nearly 60 years this use of the IRS is the most blatant that I have seen. It’s as if this bunch is saying ‘it’s in your face, what are you going to do about it?’ and fully expecting few if any consequences.

All other business of government must cease until this is exposed fully and probably prosecuted with impeachment.

Immigration, gun laws, taxes, etc,,, everything Obama wants is tainted by this lawless tyranny. It’s pointless to debate any policies with a scheming liar. If you caught a car mechanic scamming you, saying you needed a new transmission when you didn’t, why would you have a discussion with him about your brakes?

Obama has exceeded anything Nixon ever dreamed of, he is a dictator and must go.

Are the Repubs just now finding out about this, or are the Tea party a common enemy now?
I find it very hard to believe that the Repubs were not informed about this long ago.
Usually by the time the MSM gets it, the news is weeks, months, or years old.

This is over the line. Obama has to be impeached. There is no way the IRS suddenly admits guilt and apologizes unless it’s because they are hiding something much worse.

Like admitting you were speeding and hastily signing the ticket,,, because you know there is a dead body in the trunk.

They are hiding serious crimes that go all the way to the oval office. An admission of wrongdoing and an apology is not in their mentality whatsoever.

Exactly, the repubs were also happy to see TEA impeded in it’s organizing efforts.

“This is truly outrageous and it contributes to the profound distrust that the American people have in government,” Collins told CNN’s “State of the Union.” “It is absolutely chilling that the IRS was singling out conservative groups for extra review. And I think that it’s very disappointing that the president hasn’t personally condemned this.”
Show me the person who is not outraged by this, and I’ll show you someone who doesn’t care about the First Amendment.

IOW, any journalist who isn’t up in arms over this is cozy with the people who are doing it. And that is essentially all of them, because this is just “liberalism” - and “liberalism” is code for “going along and getting along with the journalism conspiracy.”

Let whoso questions the use of the word “conspiracy” reread
People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices. It is impossible indeed to prevent such meetings, by any law which either could be executed, or would be consistent with liberty and justice. But though the law cannot hinder people of the same trade from sometimes assembling together, it ought to do nothing to facilitate such assemblies; much less to render them necessary. - Adam Smith, Wealth of Nations (Book I, Ch 10)
. . . and consider that the Associated Press newswire is a virtual meeting - not for “merriment and diversion” but to cooperate in doing their work - of all major journalism companies. A meeting which has been in continuous operation for over a century and a half. The wonder is not that they might “conspire,” but that by now they might do much of anything else.

Wire service journalism is a conspiracy to libel anyone who effectively resists the idea that criticism is superior to performance. Anyone, that is, who opposes socialism.

I swear to god that if the average rate of audits was 1 in 100 and during the Bush years 1 out of 1,000 liberal left wing groups were audited... All of the left wing groups would be screaming bloody murder every day and twice as hard on the Sunday shows...

This should invalidate the U.S. presidential election of 2012.

Obama and Obama’s IRS targeted conservative groups during the election to rig the results of the election.

No consequences... Exactly! Nixon is probably asking himself right now, “Apology? Why didn’t I think of that?”

Notice no specific names are mentioned? Low level flunkies in Ohio? Does ANYONE believe a feral gummint employee would actually TAKE INITIATIVE? REALLY? LOL!

Is anyone really surprised? Do you remember J.Christian Adams who resigned from the Justice dept.because Obama leadership came in and told everyone they were only going to prosecute white voter fraud and not black voter fraud? The press buried that one. How about the pigford scandals with Sherod Brown? Fast and furious, now IRS,Benghazi,do you think this government is out of control? Oh yeah I forgot, you have to read it to find out whats in it,immigration reform? Don’t worry it’s GOOD for the economy.
