A timeline of Internal Revenue Service activities that was developed by the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration and provided to congressional staff indicates that early last year—as the nation was headed toward a presidential election—the IRS issued a “be on the lookout order” (BOLO) for officials in its “Determinations Unit” to ferret out for heightened scrutiny organizations applying for tax exempt status that were involved in educating Americans “on the Constitution and Bill of Rights.”

The inspector general’s timeline indicates that as early as March 2010 the IRS’ “Determinations Unit” had begun targeting for special scrutiny organizations that used in their tax-exempt applications the words “Tea Party” or “Patriots.” …

About altering talking points not being criminal...

These talking points weren’t created for Susan Rice. She used them on tv, but they were created to present to Congress as the regime’s word on Benghazi at that point. Probably unless presented under sworn testimony, knowingly altering them until they no longer told what the regime actually knew was true wouldn’t technically fit the crime of “lying to Congress”, but in all but technicality they were done to intentionally withhold and distort information presented to Congress.

That would be impeachable when taken with other things.

Leaving the Americans to die when they could have been saved while pretending they couldn’t be, would not technically be prosecutable as the crime of murder or criminally negligent homicide because these are political people making political decisions, but would certainly be impeachable.

LOL, that’s just my play on words from the article title, relating it to what “may have been said” just prior to the Revolution…

It may be worse, I think more like the same kind of corruption and lies, the same kind of evil governance.

Being incompetent while people were being killed by terrorists, people you might have saved, telling rescue forces to stand down, then blaming it on a youtube video over and over again, knowing you are lying to the American public then covering it up is pretty damn bad.

Using the IRS to try to kill your domestic political opponents is in it's own way worse, just no one was killed. Yet.

These people are simply evil the way they do things, and the overflow is coming out of the cracks. The scandals are all similar: Incompetence, venomous deceit, lies and over the top attempts to destroy your political opponents.

I can't wait till Bambi care is fully implemented.

I too am most amazed at this IG.

It seems like a good system yet they sometimes villify the IG or make him seem senile.

Crossing fingers on this....NOTHING on earth could hurt an administration more than this.

I just don’t seem this admin surviving this.

Each agency has its own IG. Some are partisan and some are independent and can objectively inspect their agency.
