Gallup: Same-Sex Marriage Support Solidifies Above 50% in U.S.
Gallup ^ | 05/13/2013 | Jeffrey M. Jones

Fifty-three percent of Americans say the law should recognize same-sex marriages, the third consecutive reading of 50% or above in Gallup polling over the past year. The 53% in favor ties the high to this point, also measured last November and in May 2011.

Gallup's May 2-7 poll suggests Americans' support for gay marriage is solidifying above the majority level. Recently, Rhode Island and Delaware legalized same-sex marriage, and Minnesota is likely to follow suit. That would bring the total number of states legally recognizing same-sex marriage to 12.

Just three years ago, support for gay marriage was 44%. The current 53% level of support is essentially double the 27% in Gallup's initial measurement on gay marriage, in 1996.

Nearly all U.S. subgroups are more likely to favor gay marriage now than in the past. Politically, Democrats, independents, and liberals all show increasing support for gay marriage over time, with each well above the majority level now. Republicans, conservatives, and moderates are more likely to favor gay marriage now than in 1996, but the increase in support among these groups may have stalled. Thus, most of the increase in the percentage favoring legal gay marriage in the last three years has come among left-leaning groups politically.

If I were emperor, I would put the pollsters out of business simply because they attempt to manipulate the public.

Here in the People's Republic of Maryland homo marriage survived a popular referendum with the help of a coalition of apostate black ministers, urban community organizers and Barack Hussien Obama being on the ballot. Moreover, the state ensured that the question was incomprehensibly worded. I know several people who confessed later that they voted for homo marriage when they actually intended to vote against it.

Such is life in a Socialist Democracy.

"Yet it still can’t pass when put up to an actual vote."

Yep. Looks like a lots of false propaganda being circulated.

Yes, the only thing that this poll proves is that people can be manipulated t give the answer that the pollster wants.

How many respondents would be okay with a cat lady marrying her pet(s)?

Polygamy?

Put all the dirt out there.

B.S.! A majority of people in California (about as pro-gay a state can get) voted down gay marriage twice, and by resounding majorities. Californians hate gay marriage. Californians hate gays. They didn’t poll me or my friends. We voted for Prop 8 only to see gay judges toss it out , against the will of the majority. So a poll don’t mean squat, if a vote means nothing.

That is because the question was written like this:

Which activity do you endorse? One choice is required

__ Bestiality

__ Beating puppy dogs or kittens

__ Gay Marriage

No doubt these are pro-faggotry push polls. Most likely some queer activist group is paying for the cost and writing the questions. These polls are designed to make people feel like they are out of step, out of fashion, or have something wrong with their own belief system, and cause those people to modify their positions.

I call bullshit on this. No effing way.

The Left uses their polling entity friends, and associates such as Gallup, PPP, and ORC amongst others to create illusion in their favor of which their MSM friends, and associates disseminate the fictional results often, and one of those is creating illusions of public favor even in light of factual disfavor. Anything to get their way. It’s a tactic as so much of their vast propaganda outreach is.

The Left is a minority, and is known to use every available sleight of hand dirty down dastardly trick in, or out of the book to get their way.

These results speak more to the unfettered "full court press" of disinformation by the powerful homosexual crowd, an increasingly pliable and gullible public, and the successful dumbing down of morality in this country.

The deliberate diminishment of the intellectual level of the content of schooling and education has been going on for many years. It is a perfect example of the left wing conspiracy that we see every day in the lock step reporting by the MSM, especially with the current administration.

Same sex marriage is nothing more than a transient popular culture that will NOT stand the test of time. Natural law will prevail, hopefully before our country descends further into chaos and self destructs.

This goes to show what a massive re-education effort has been made on behalf of the LBGT activists. Gay couples/relationships are being constantly thrown in our faces as the “new normal”. Katy P did a song called I kissed a girl and liked it”.

It is now becomming a “normalized” behavior.

If only the church would stand up and proclaim what is wrong with this it would help. Sadly, most churches are silent on this issue due in part to fear, but mostly, pastors don’t want to tackle these kind of issues. They’re too worried about the impact on the offering plate.

It’s time for a Joshua moment. Who do you stand with? As for me and my house we will stand with the Lord.

How was the poll in question worded? I’ve a feeling that some people are saying OK just to get them to shut up about it.
