President Obama Blames Political Gridlock on Hyper-Partisanship, Rush Limbaugh

President Obama blamed part of the political gridlock in Washington, D.C., on hyper-partisanship while speaking at a fundraiser attended by Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel in New York City Monday afternoon, saying some Republicans worry too much about the reaction of conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh.
Whats blocking us right now is sort of hyper-partisanship in Washington that, frankly, I was hoping to overcome in 2008. And in the midst of crisis, I think the other party reacted, rather than saying now is the time for us all to join together, decided to take a different path, Obama said at the Democratic National Committee fundraiser. My thinking was after we beat them in 2012, well, that might break the fever, and its not quite broken yet.
But I am persistent, he said. And I am staying at it. And I genuinely believe that there are actually Republicans out there who would like to work with us but theyre fearful of their base and theyre concerned about what Rush Limbaugh might say about them. And, as a consequence, we get the kind of gridlock that makes people cynical about government and inhibits our progress.
The presidents comments came at the first of three fundraisers in New York City Monday. He spoke to 65 guests at a reception hosted by movie mogul Harvey Weinstein and actress Georgina Chapman. Later in the afternoon, the president addressed a second 60-person fundraiser hosted by Alexandra Stanton and Sam Natapoff. Tickets to each event ranged from $16,200 to $20,000 and benefitted the DNC.

Hyper-Partisanship is defined as not allowing a bunch of immature, low life commie wannabes take over our country and steal all of our money.
Living rent free...that guy is getting paranoid now...
BHO2 is so out-of-touch with reality, he’s pathetic.
He isn’t pathetic - he’s evil.
So he can take his pantywaist pro-Hollywood talking point BS and cram it.
Actually, Mr. BO, Rush is only a paid frontman. Ninety percent of the time he speaks what is on MY mind. Of course, I provide him with a generous salary to conceal this astounding truth.
There. Now that I’m out of the closet I feel much better.
But I believe Valerie Jarrett is making all the decisions in this White House. BHO2 is merely a puppet and con man, and someone who is expendable.
Your absolutely right..Obama is PURE evil..and now everyone is seeing it..Obama is losing it..he knows the jig is up and people are figuring him out for exactly what he is..the rest of his Presidency is NOT going to be pretty..lets hope that somehow this Hitler clone can be thrown out of office
Hey Obama , here’s a clue.....some of us actually hate your guts.
“.....lets hope that somehow this Hitler clone can be thrown out of office.”
Out off office........ and into prison.
Grid lock is good. When we have laws passed, they tend to be unworkable, long, unmanageable, and harmful to the country: Obamacare and Dodd-Frank spring to mind.
We Got Your Money n We're Just Happy Now!!
Hyperpartisanship=why won’t you do everything my way and completely reduce the country to one party.
As regards your, "different path," yeah, sure, we are going to stand aside and let you take this wonderful, beautiful country to a turd-world hell hole with you as Dick tator for life? Not hardly!
Pardon my French, but you are a flaming a$$hole! You could light up a large city.
Pay no attention to the fact that Ubama is a confessed follower of Saul Alinsky, and Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals is the bible of hyper-partisanship.
I have listened to Limbaugh since 1985. My initial reaction
when I first heardhim on KFBK was ‘This guy says what I am
thinking almost as soon as I think it’. But I had never thought
of him as a frontman. But he is.....my frontman, too.
Unfortunately for you el Presidente every time you mention el Rushbo his audience size increases. So please keep it up!
Billy Clinton: “Yes?”
Obama: “Mr Clinton, sir, it’s me sir.”
Billy Clinton: “Oh, what is it now?”
Obama: “I need some advice sir. A lot of things are going badly. I need a distraction.”
Billy Clinton: “Well, boy, let me think... Hmmm, when things were going badly for me I got a lot of mileage out of blaming Rush Limbaugh. Worked like a charm in fact.”
Obama: “Oh thank you sir that’s what I’ll do Thank you agian sir. And give my regards to Miss Hillary sir. We’re watching out for her sir.”
Billy Clinton: “Yes, see that you do...”
‘specially that last line.
Rush is just one man on the radio, Bammy. And why SHOULDN'T Republicans be afraid of their base?
How come Democrat lawmakers never have to be afraid of their base?
Most conservatives were alone in their convictions aside from ‘Human Events’ or Bill Buckley. Our worldview was common once upon a time but as the Reds advance and took control of the media and academia, we were alone. Questioning, confused and alone. Of course, we had friends and others but we were essentially islands in the stream of accelerating Marxism. Suddenly, Rush punched a hole in the curtain of information control and we found a voice for normalcy and Americanism. When the net took off, we linked up.
It ain’t over until they put a bullet in yer noggin.
