Obama Knee-Deep in Nixon-esque Scandal
Boston Herald ^ | May 13, 2013 | Joe Battenfeld

Posted on 05/13/2013 11:58:23 PM PDT by lbryce

President Obama’s second-term campaign slogan was “Forward,” but instead we’ve got cover-ups, congressional investigations and the government persecution of political opponents and reporters.

That sounds like “backward” to me. All the way to, say, 1972.

Who would have guessed that just a few months into his second term, President Obama would be compared to Tricky Dick. And by a liberal Massachusetts Democrat — U.S. Rep. Michael Capuano.

Republicans could not even have scripted this one. The agency most hated by voters, the Internal Revenue Service, admits to going on a Nixonian witch hunt against Tea Party and conservative groups during the re-election campaign.

This is a story even the most partisan Massachusetts liberal cannot defend. It’s so bad that even Ed Markey is calling for heads to roll.

Now we learn that the Justice Department has secretly obtained the phone records of Associated Press reporters and editors in what appears to be an investigation of an AP story that disclosed details of a CIA operation that stopped a terrorist attack.

Going after the Tea Party is one thing, but the media? What an outrage. Who knows, the press may get so mad they won’t laugh at Obama’s jokes during the next White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

I've been dreaming, hoping, praying for years to seeing a headline like this, but reality always forced me back from ever letting me toy with the fantasy of anything as surreal, outer-worldly as "Obama, Scandal Monger".

The fervent hope of millions of Americans, all interconnected as one giant kindred spirit, "the collective consciousness" of millions of Americans who love their county, instinctively know that no one as evil, diabolical, Machiavellian, as the egregiously arrogant sociopath that Obama is, who continues to unleash as much free-wheeling, damage, destruction on this great nation of ours, this damn*ble usurper, despiser, of all things great, profound about America, it's institutions, know you don't get to wreak havoc chaos on America and get away with it.

His Day of Judgement is hopefully soon here, his comeupppance will be every bit as deserved, appropriate as the sins he's committed, he will be made to pay for his crimes.

Some guys know how to read a speech well, and can stir up a crowd, and can organize a community to agitate, but should never, ever be put in any position of power.

All this a**hole knows how to do is blame others for his constant screw ups. We’ve never had a more incompetent, irresponsible president, but than we’ve never had a Kenyan bent on destroying us as president either.

Remind me how many people were brutally murdered and sodomized during the Watergate scandal.... That’s right, none.

They called Tea Partiers paranoid. Turns out, just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t out to get you.

As for the press suddenly “waking up”, can’t help but notice its only after they found themselves in the crosshairs.

“When they went after Tea Party I didn’t speak because I wasn’t a Tea Partier. When they went after Pro-Israel groups I didn’t speak because I am not pro-Israel. When they went after gun owners I didn’t speak because I don’t own guns. When they came after me...

The focus for the next few months will be on the investigation and likely cover-up of the IRS effort to get dirt on Obama’s political opponents. The initial explanation — that it was the handiwork of just a few rogue IRS workers — sounds about as plausible as blaming the Benghazi attacks on an anti-Muslim video.

WOW!!! Is this the MSM talking? WOW!!!

Nixon did the same stuff... right down to using the IRS against his ‘enemies’...

Nixon said “I am not a crook” - he was...

Obama said “I am not a dictator” he is...

First they came for people in the Tea Party,
and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t in a Tea Party.

Then they came for people who used words like ‘constitution’ and ‘patriot’,
and I didn’t speak out because those words didn’t matter to me.

Then they came for conservative Jews and evangelical Christians
and I didn’t speak out because I was too cool to be a believer...

Then they came for the AP and members of the press,
and there was no one left to speak for us.

Need to be careful that the Senate doesn’t try to push through Immigration (Amnesty) when all eyes are distracted on this!

If Nixon was in purgatory, he has since sprouted wings and is strumming harps compared to the demonic extent of everything obama has done.

And sadly, that’s probably the worst it gets for the POS in the WH.

We'll know when Obama is in real trouble when the race card gets played by liberals everywhere. You know, "Well, if the President is impeached and removed from office, there's no telling what kind of civil unrest that may cause...."

Just wonder if Obama has a pair of hipwaders and an endless supply of shovels and pitchforks. For all the crap he keeps trying to feed to the public that he is innocent of any wrongdoing.

I am to young to remember Nixon and Watergate, did not Nixon for 2 years claim innocence than when the issue ramped up and Impeachment proceedings went forward, Nixon resigned. The downfall of Nixon brought in Carter. (Yes i know ford was president between Nixon and Carter, but the resignation hurt the repubs)
