RNC Chairman Reince Priebus believes Attorney General Eric Holder should resign for tapping the phones of the Associated Press, calling the move a violation of the First Amendment. Here is his statement:
Freedom of the press is an essential right in a free society. The First Amendment doesnt request the federal government to respect it; it demands it. Attorney General Eric Holder, in permitting the Justice Department to issue secret subpoenas to spy on Associated Press reporters, has trampled on the First Amendment and failed in his sworn duty to uphold the Constitution. Because Attorney General Holder has so egregiously violated the public trust, the president should ask for his immediate resignation. If President Obama does not, the message will be unmistakable: The President of the United States believes his administration is above the Constitution and does not respect the role of a free press.
Listen to Carney doing the “plausible deniability” to cover Obama’s rear.
The Second Amendment doesnt request the federal government to respect it either; it demands it too.
The Second protects the First.
Holder: “Huh? LOL”
This isn’t a shot across the bow, this is a point blank shot in the face. Nice!
Knee-jerk reaction, Reince. Don’t overplay your hand. You just gave Holder cover.
In fact, at some point, I expect him to still. I expect him to not only stay in office, but start working these intimidation tactics right out in public.
I seriously expect him to simply say it outright: "Hey, AP, if you want to NOT be destroyed by the government, YOU WILL DO AS WE SAY! ... and I DARE anyone to try and stop me!!!!"
Where did we have tapping the phones - did I miss it?
All I heard was seizing phone records.
Doesn't that just mean who called who, and when?
Reince plays Checkers, while the Rats play Chess.
Hahahahaha. Doesn’t Rince know by now that NO ONE in this administration is responsible for anything? NOBODY knows nothin’. That’s their story and they’re stickin’ to it.

Credit where credit is due. Don’t stop attacking.
Gangsters always stick together. That is why they are called a gang!
Nice talk, but where were you when We The People’s rights were being infringed upon?
Where was your outrage when the Constitution was being dismantled piece by piece over the years?
BTW, a free press is useless unless it is also a responsible press. With freedom comes responsibility.
Eric Holder is as hard to dislodge as a leech or a woodtick, and much more of a blood-sucker than either of those other two lower forms of life.
Intimidation is just part of Holder’s character, or rather, lack of such. Doubling-down is just a reflex action. Nothing short of physical restraint and incarceration is likely to deter his behavior in the least.
Shame and decency are meaningless concepts, so far as either concerns Eric Holder.
Every telephone conversation is now being recorded. Obviously, not all can be listened to, so they are passively recorded and screened for buzz words thru special software.
When they get their hands on phone call records, then they can go back and listen to conversations that occurred at specific times of interest.
