White House Press Secretary Jay Carney denied that President Obama’s administration bears any comparison to that of Richard Nixon, who resigned in the face of impeachment.
“The people who make those kinds of comparisons need to check their history,” Carney told reporters when asked about Nixon comparisons.
“It is a reflection of the sort of rapid politicization of everything that you have that kind of commentary.”
Time’s Joe Klein wrote that the IRS’s targeting of conservative groups for inappropriate scrutiny put Obama “on the same page as Richard Nixon”
— perhaps because the Nixon articles of impeachment included the charge that Nixon had used the IRS to initiate audits in a discriminatory fashion

Nixon: Actually got elected without help from communists/leftists/and associated other dorks. Didn’t conceal birth records, academic records, passport, etc. etc.
Obama: Elected by the press, never had a real job or any credentials to be proud of, questionable birth, even more questionable parents, no real academic record trail, didn’t write his own books (containing provable lies about his background), somehow got into Harvard Law and edited their Law Review without ever having an article for us to read. Conceals his real birth records, academic records, passport, etc. etc.
