Full Title - "Carney: White House notified of IRS targeting tea party ‘several weeks ago;’ Obama: I found out Friday [VIDEO]"
White House press secretary Jay Carney said in a press conference Tuesday that the White House was notified about the IRS targeting tea party groups “several weeks ago.” This comes a day after President Obama said he found out about it from news reports on Friday of last week.
During a press conference with British Prime Minister David Cameron on Monday, President Obama was asked about the IRS scandal. He responded, ”I first learned about it from the same news reports that I think most people learned about this. I think it was on Friday.”
However, Carney said Tuesday that first a report had to be compiled by the IRS’s inspector general and then when it was completed, it was passed on to the administration.
“A notification is appropriate and routine and that is what happened and that happened several weeks ago,” Carney said.
Carney said the White House will not make a formal statement until a complete IG report is released.
Carney said later in the press conference that although the White House was notified “weeks ago” about the IRS investigaton, neither he nor the president were notified individually.
“Carney had better do a better job of coordinating the lying with the Liar-in-Chief.”
Yea he might be looking at losing his job as the Obama Information minister.
Learning about uncovering the IRS plot is not exactly what we're concerned about is it? He'll never get around to actually talking about the issue, like his perpetual avoidance of the Birth Certificate which is STILL an open issue. He'll avoid this issue until, like the BC issue, his Media Campaign Committee assigns a derogatory name to those seeking the truth. Anyone got any guesses what label(s) the Left will use to try to shame or ridicule the other side into silence?
The truth is rarely on the Leftist side. No matter because apparently ridicule and intimidation seem to at least keep things at bay.
Oh absolutely hitting too close to home....whatever it takes to put the pressure on this administration I am for...but nothing can quite shake them more than a press that’s hot on their tail.
BUT...Obama doesn’t read every WH report just like Hillary didn’t read her e-mails.
These people love plausible deniability. They no nothing
I think “The Great One” Mark Levin summed this administration up pretty accurately when he said something to the effect of:
“This administration is in charge of everything yet they’re responsible for nothing!”
Which is nice when you want zero accountability
Didn’t you know. There’s a special outdoor closet where the White House gets these messages. It is sure to get to the White House first. Then eventually work it’s way to some person or another.
Obviously, Barry Soetoro doesn’t have a clue what is going on in his administration. I guess with all that perpetual fundraising he does, it would be tough to keep up with what your employees are doing.
And, it’s only Tuesday.
I can hear it now behind WH closed doors:
"I'm no drama Obama - the people are stupid and will forget and my buddies, the media, will put on a show and then move on. We're used to the drill.

So if Carney and Obama only found out on Friday, then how exactly was the White House previously notified? Did somebody stroll over and brief one of the columns at the front entrance?
