When Marion Bower decided to start her tea party organization in 2010, she didnt know that it would take nearly two years for the Internal Revenue Service to approve her request for tax-exempt status.
The Ohio woman also did not expect that providing information about the books her group read would be part of the application process.
I was trying to be very cordial, but they wanted copies of unbelievable things, Bower told ABC News today. They wanted to know what materials we had discussed at any of our book studies.
She ultimately sent one of the books, The Five Thousand Year Leap, promoted frequently by Glenn Beck, to the IRS official handling her tax-exempt request in Cincinnati. She also sent a paperback copy of the Constitution.

If so, you must be getting some idea by now.
I suspect that there were an inordinate number of these delay/harass cases in the key 2012 swing states, in order to prevent Tea Party orgs from forming and engaging in GOTV efforts in time for the 2012 election. A deliberate strategy to use the IRS to influence the election.
No doubt the only one anyone at the IRS has ever seen...

the news media came out with an AP phone scandal at the exact time the IRS scandal was breaking .if you think that is a coincidence i have swamp land to sell you. the news media wanted to hide the IRS scandal with the AP scandal( confuse everyone and draw conservative fire away from the IRS scandal and immigration bill)

And to think this same IRS will be enforcing 0bamacare. I wonder how many conservative senior citizens will be abandoned to die at home because of their ideology? On second thought, perhaps it’s better to die at home rather than being Breitbarted at the hospital.
