It came back to bite them when the Chicago political mob blackmailed Hillary in 2008 over Arkancides....
He did pay his taxes. That could be ascertained by the information that was released. Harry Reid was lying. He is a liar. Always has been.
He didn’t.
It was wild conjecture on his part trying to goad Romney into releasing more of his tax returns.

Reid was talking out his ass. Romney released summaries of his tax returns show he paid substantial taxes and made large charitable donations.
Reid’s tactic was to try to force to Romney make his very extensive tax returns public, and the media and Democratic opposition research (but I repeat myself) would have a field day portraying perfectly ordinary transactions, investments and deductions as somehow sinister and evil.
Since it was wrong, who cares?
He needs to testify under Oath..... But then again Dirty Harry is a Liar.

I believe Romney said he did pay and then asked why the IRS wasn’t coming after him if Reid was telling the truth.
Reid was lying in the true spirit of Josef Goebbels. Many here and elsewhere made the obvious demand: that either he prove it or admit he lied. Nothing came of it, which was yet another instance of The Stupid Party failing to do the least bit of work for its own good.
Well, I think we all assumed he was just making it up...
