Tyler Weyer and his fellow seniors at Republic High School began considering possible commencement speakers last fall...But Weyer had a crazy thought. I said, Hey, lets just get Sarah Palin, said Weyer, the 17-year-old senior class president at Republic High...Then came another e-mail from Palins people this time to set up a phone call with him and school officials...On April 18, Weyer and school officials had the phone call with Palins representative, and learned that Palin would be coming to graduation... Andersons priority is to preserve the event as a commencement ceremony something focused on the students and their families.
This isnt going to be a circus and this isnt going to be a political statement, he said.
Weyer says that Palins representatives have expressed similar wishes. She doesnt want a frenzy, he said.

This kid is a go getter - that’s for sure! Now he’ll have a picture of him with Sarah and it’s the start of his political career with him entering college - if they can get him off the ceiling first.
Sounds like a great school and a great choice. Those kids are in for a real treat!!
Each graduate gets 20 tickets to distribute for the 1 p.m. commencement ceremony on June 1, and then admission to the small gym will be first-come, first-served. Theres room for around 700 people; Anderson expects hell be turning people away.
Weyer said the event is the talk of the 1,000-resident town.
Everyones asking for tickets, he said. Everyones very ecstatic.
How very exciting for them! I dread my kids graduation in a year, Lord only knows who they’ll torture us with.
Love that quote above, one of her best!
As compared to Obozo or Biden showing up and they need to drag out the SEIU thugs to make a crowd...
Not to E-GOP please correct your Cranal Rectal Inversion before 2016 or you will have your head handed to you again....
Your winning ticket is doing HS Graduations, and you and Karl Rove are still behind the Curtain pulling levers in Oz....
If she has the time and sercurity ok's it, she probably will meet and greet all these folks as they exit the building etc....
As long as she has the security to keep the Alinskyites far away from the podium.
Brought tears to my eyes. Everything that young man said that he admired about her mirrors my own thoughts. This is a perfect occasion. Congratulations to the Class of 2013. Some DO get it. :-).
Thanks for posting this article.
How exciting for these young kids..A day to remember the future president of the USA speaking at their school..
::: Way cool :::
This is a perfect venue...and so like her. Congratulations to this class of 2013. :-)

Republic is a very small, out-of-the-way town. Miners and small ranchers and folks that want to be left alone for the most part. And handle problems in their own manner. NOT a trendy touristy town filled with little antique shops, etc.
I don’t think the folks in Republic will put up with any protestors in town.
