The Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Tuesday approved President Barack Obama’s nominee for U.S. ambassador to Libya, a post that has been vacant since insurgents attacked the diplomatic mission in Benghazi last September, killing Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans.

With little discussion, the panel on a voice vote approved Deborah Kay Jones, a career diplomat who has served in Kuwait, Argentina, Syria, Iraq and Turkey.

Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., chairman of the committee, praised Jones and spoke of the imperative of filling the job amid increasing lawlessness in Libya. On Monday, a deadly car bomb exploded near a hospital in Benghazi and officials gave conflicting numbers on the death toll. …

That was a demonstration of being unnatural on Hillary’s part. Absolutely no empathy, and only feeling pity when it affects her personally.

Anyone would have to be crazy to be an Ambassador to any country involved with Islam these days.

“e-mails showed political considerations influenced the editing of talking points”
AP’s off the reservation.
Sure, the usual twaddle from Dingy Harry about a “smear campaign,” following Menendez’s:
“We’re honored to present the State Department ‘Award for Heroism’ to you, sorry I forget your name ... posthumously.”
“I’m not dead yet.” Ms Whatshername
“Day ain’t over yet. Don’t buy any green bananas over there, all I’m sayin’ and maybe you can hook me up with some senoritas.” Menendez

But the AP reporting news—land o’ Goshen ........

I know there is so much hand wringing that the Benghazi attack didn’t wake up enough people. That may be true in the broad sense, but I know young adults who are/were striving to do such work and have stopped dead in their tracks for this very reason. They are outwardly asking, ‘how do I know I wouldn’t be left to die’?

Remind me again how that pedophile is wrapped up in this again, was he on a committee giving money and weapons? I will have to go find the thread and get the info.

Raised in New Mexico, she earned a B.A. in History from ‘Brigham Young University’...She is married to U.S. Foreign Service officer Richard G. Olson,

Now take a look at his history:

Olson has also served as the deputy chief of mission at the United States Mission to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

From 2008 to 2011, Olson was the as U.S. Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates. He previously served as U.S. Consul General in Dubai (2001-2003).

Kermit Gosnell, convicted of first-degree murder, sentenced to be Obama’s next ambassador to Libya.

Olson will probably be the de facto ambassador. His wife is there as part of Hillary's social experiment of sending women, or gay men, as ambassadors into the Arab world to enlighten them. One of her college schoolmates, a woman, is ambassador to Egypt. Liberals are obsessed with forcing their fanciful values on those guaranteed to react violently.

I’m not sure why if other countries are pulling out most of their people, we are in a hurry to send someone back in. Am I not understanding why we need someone there right now?

Exactly. She is a very vile creature.

It’s just a contributor jobs program. She’ll be encamped in Italy where she will met with the 2 non-islamic Libyan bureaucrats still living.

I don’t intend to sound sexist, but appointing a female diplomat to a militant-Islam country doesn’t sound like a good idea.

Especially a female Ambassador. We all know how much Islam respects women. (Sar.)

I agree. One has to be insane to be an ambassador while obama is President.

Interesting..and I found it so as I looked at their history.

The Arab world cannot be enlightened as long as they are in the deep darkness they profess. Further the purpose isn't to enlighten any, that's if anything at all, a front....it's all about using them in the grander scheme...and the Arabs know it.

I am fully convinced there is nothing “the people” can do about the Global Push and the monetary stage they are playing on.

We can, at best, only get drips and drabs of their plays and usually only after the fact.....there is no Press in the USA that seeks to report on the International events as they are, because they don't know nor can they discover.

Islam was founded roughly 1,400 years ago. If we look at Christendom at 1,400 years Joan of Arc was being burned alive by the Church for sorcery and chattel slavery was practiced in much of the West. Christianity evolved and Islam must evolve if it is to survive.

Islam must evolve if it is to survive....

I see no evidence that there is a desire to do that...nor do I anticipate so.

And I in no way compare Islamic History even remotely comparable to Christian History. ...’Churchianity’ is another story altogether.
