BELCHERTOWN (CBS) – Shortly after midnight Tuesday, seven people were caught trespassing at the Quabbin Reservoir.

State Police say the five men and two women are from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore, and “cited their education and career interests” for being in the area. The men told police they were chemical engineers and recent college graduates.

You're so right. It will be something exactly like this -- an event with long, drawn-out consequences (vs. 2 pressure-cooker bombs) -- that will be used to save him if he's pressured to resign or face impeachment. That's the bad news.

Do we know why LE just happened to be out driving in a rural, secluded area at that precise time of night? And when i say precise, that means a very narrow window of time. Curious. And one MORE thing... This happened “shortly after midnight on Tuesday?” How long before the FBI let them go? That was a little over 24 hrs ago. They can do extensive background checks on 7 foreigners from multiple countries that fast? How long could they have been held by LE in that state before being let go because there were no charges other than trespassing? And did they even do any testing on the water before the potential terrorists were freed?

Quabbin Reservoir is huge and surrounded by woods. Deer, turkeys, rabbits, raccoons, dogs would all trigger motion detectors.
