Will the new Star Trek sequel boldly go where much of Hollywood has gone before--bashing President George W. Bush?

Benedict Cumberbatch, the British actor who plays the mysterious villain in Star Trek Into Darkness, told BBC America that the new film's futuristic setting didn't stop it from reflecting on recent global events.

The new franchise is not Star Trek. They destroyed the Star Trek universe in the last movie.

Benedict Cumberbatch? Who is that? Another Hollywood type who thinks that because they’re in a movie what they say is really important? I’d rather get the opinion of Louie the mechanic.

Not that it was a bad thing to destroy Rick Berman’s utopian mess that it was.

Even some hardcore Trekkers are turned off.

Recent events? Sheesh - I remember when Star Trek reflected issues that were a bit fresher than five-plus years ago. Closer to eight years, really.

With that whopping error in time factoring, this guy's villain character must be the new, improved Trelane.

He also does well in the BBC’s recent incarnation of Sherlock.

How long does it have to continue before it is finally called the "Obama/Biden Foreign Policy"?

They have to get one, first.

You ever watch that movie “Team America”? The one with the puppets?

“As actors, it is our responsibility to read the newspapers, and then say what we read on television like it’s our own opinion.” LOL!

Or the best from Liv Tyler:

“If we focus our acting on global politics, we can change everything and stuff.”

This is the leftist douche playing Trek's best villain...

Sorry, Bennie, you're no Ricardo Montalban.

Most of the characters in this latest movie series look gay. That makes the movie less believable.

In the mean time, they’re pretty much sticking with the Bush/Cheney policy.

You mean total neglect? That makes for a pretty boring movie

From what I understand, you’ll need to talk to them because he “bats for their team”, if you catch my drift.

He rides side-saddle, in other words.

/don’t care, never heard of him until the whole Star Trek thing.

They’re too young to care - he’s just a face and voice, might as well be CGI.
