CNN’s Drew Griffin broke into Wolf Blitzer‘s Newsroom report Wednesday afternoon to reveal new information about the investigation into the IRS’ admission that they targeted conservatives during the 2012 election year.
Griffin said a Congressional source told him that the acting commissioner of the IRS, Steven Miller, has identified two “rogue” employees in the agency’s Cincinnati office, who he characterized as “off the reservation.” The commissioner reportedly said the two, as yet unnamed, employees were “principally responsible for overly aggressive handling of Tea Party requests for tax exempt status over the past two years.” Another source, according to Griffin, said that Miller confirmed that two employees have “already been disciplined.”
“I suspect a lot of Republicans, especially, but there are a bunch of Democrats outraged by this as well,” Blitzer said, “are going to suggest this may just be the tip of the iceberg, if you will. They’re going to want to see who else could be implicated in this.”

Someone is lying to CNN and CNN is gladly swallowing that koolaid. The two could not have run the three or four regional desks where the heavy hands fell, nor coulkd these two have been the ones shredding records and memos, reviewing the lengthy circulars accompanying the form applications, etc. This is a systemic disease at IRS and they are supposed to run the Healthcare program? Yeah, that’ll give two or three rogues massive amounts of usable data to use in political operations.

I call BS on CNN! There has been stories of cases in Wyoming, Texas and California. States the office in Cinncy, Ohio did NOT cover. Washington D.C. and California offices have been involved.
Truth of the matter is this was most likely something that was a training session. At one of those Multimillion dollar junket seminars these Agencies hold in places like Vegas, Bahamas etc.all at the taxpayer expense

Incredible they are running with this. Some of the oppressed organizations have letters from IRS Washington DC putting the screws to them.
Of course, they were acting totally independently. Nobody ordered them to do that. Nobody else was doing anything else. We’re your government. You elected us, so you should trust us when we say things like that. Now gimme dem guns.
Yep, just like that rep said today comparing the tea party to the Taliban. The IRS audited conservatives like they should be going after jihadist, but are too PC to do so. So, instead they persecute Christian organizations. Didn’t they recently refer to Catholics in a negative/criminal leaning manner?

Move on folks, no news here. Just two “low level” IRS personnel falling on swords for their leaders. I suggest they be subjected to “standard of living” audits for the remainder of their lives to ensure they don’t profit from this noble assumption of guilt. Otherwise they’ll get rich like Aldrich Ames while others suffer.
If it was just these "rogue" employees, this will flush this out, too.

AT THE top of his brief appearance, Obama stated that the IRS misconduct was “inexcusable.” He segued then to say that he’d talked to Treasury Secretary Jack Lew, and then stated that the acting IRS Commissioner Steven Miller has been asked for his resignation and it was given.

Get your barf bags and bash out your brains. “Two rogue IRS employees” my ass. Let’s start at the top of the food chain at the White House and work our way down to the peons.
That’s how Obama and his marxist minions work.
The story will be that the two rogue employees kicked off the investigations and anyone else involved was unaware of the specific targeting and criteria.
The two employees have probably been disciplined and put on paid administrative leave pending appeal by the AFGE (Union). In other words a paid vacation that doesn’t cut into their accrued leave.
The union will negotiate whatever discipline down to a letter of reprimand, slap on the wrist.
