Franklin Graham calls IRS probe of ministry finances ‘un-American’

Adelle M. Banks | May 15, 2013

(RNS) Evangelist Franklin Graham blasted the Internal Revenue Service probe of conservative nonprofit groups as “un-American,” saying both the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and the relief group Samaritan’s Purse were audited by the IRS.

In a Tuesday (May 14) letter to President Obama, Graham said the two organizations he leads were notified last September that the IRS would review their records for the 2010 tax year.

The IRS inquiry, he noted, occurred months after the BGEA ran ads in April 2012 supporting a North Carolina amendment that banned same-sex marriage, which passed in May. The BGEA also ran ads last fall urging voters to consider candidates who make decisions based on “biblical principles and support the nation of Israel.”

Graham noted that the ads were bought with designated funds given by ministry donors for that purpose.

The IRS audits were conducted on Oct. 15 at Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization based in Boone, N.C., and on Oct. 29 at the BGEA, in Charlotte.

How the IRS Controls Christian Churches

35 Ways the IRS Controls Churches

Exclusive Intelligence Examiner Report

Texe Marrs

Does the IRS hate the Gospel and despise Bible-believing Christians? Has the IRS become a police-state agency that regularly persecutes churches, pastors, and ministries that still believe in old-fashioned patriotism? Listed below are 35 things the IRS contends are prohibited of churches and ministries. A pastor or ministry leader who violates the guidelines of the IRS on these 35 prohibitions can have his church or group’s tax exemption revoked and be dealt with harshly by the IRS.

These 35 prohibitions on churches and ministries demonstrate how the IRS and the federal government now control churches and insure politically and religiously “correct” behavior. Liberal Christian churches and false religions such as Hunduism, Witchcraft, and Scientology are not affected by these rules—only Bible-believing, Christian ministries and churches. Also, keep in mind: These 35 things are not prohibited by law nor by the Constitution. The IRS considers itself above the law and the Constitution.

‘un-American’ is a term that has been used ever since this clown took the Oath, and well before. Pelosi needs to be called before Congress and testify how she vetted Odungo...

There is no church that has ever lost its tax exempt status for political “electioneering”.

Pastors need to know this and understand it.

Also, they can “pro-rate” the amount of time electioneering.
If they spend 5 minutes on it, and 10 minutes preparing it, then that’s 15 minutes out of a 2080 hour work year that they have to pay taxes on.

Shulman was petitioned to revoke the Tax Exempt Status of the Archdiocese of Springfield IL because the Bishop is Pro-Life and said the Democrat Platform was Pro Abortion.

‘Very Frightening’:

Prominent Catholic Prof. Claims IRS Audited Her After Speaking Out Against Obama and Demanded to Know Who Was Paying Her

May. 15, 2013 10:24am Billy Hallowell

Noted professor and sociologist Dr. Anne Hendershott claims IRS may have targeted her with a 2010 audit

IRS demanded to know which groups paid her and seemed to want to know more about their backgrounds

Hendershott believes her articles critical of President Barack Obama’s policies and George Soros’ funding of liberal Catholic groups may have spawned the IRS audit

Audit was emotionally and financially expensive and scared the professor into silence

Obama’s IRS basically shut the tea party and conservatives out of the 2012 election and out of politics.

The tea party grew and in the 2010 election the tea party won a great victory

So Obama’s IRS shut down or prevented many tea party groups from starting . This is why the 2012 election favored democrats and why Obama won.

Obama’s IRS intimidated many conservatives form taking part in the political process and from raising money for causes they believed in

basically the IRS shut down the tea party to rig the election for democrats in 2012 and for Obama

there would have been a lot more conservatives elected to congress if the tea party groups were allowed to raise money. additionally maybe a conservative would have been nominated for the GOP (as tea party groups couldn’t raise money for a conservative in the primary)

so the election is invalid , Obama must be impeached and the IRS must be abolished not given more power with obamacare. democrats/socialists stole the U.S. senate and the presidency in the 2012 election.
