As usual, he's full of shite. Those with working brain cells regard Benghazi as worse, because no lives were lost as a result of Watergate. And it was in real time. The accused are actually the people who committed the crime by omission, rather than just covered it up after the fact.

Damn... I’m well old enough to remember Nixon’s entire administration.
I miss him more than I ever imagined I would.

RE: Damn... Im well old enough to remember Nixons entire administration.
Me too.. and Truman's plus FDR (a little).
Nixon was hated by the left.. probably beginning with that Alger Hiss thing. He had his faults but I state again: What did Nixon do that JFK and LBJ did not do?
For those much younger just imagine the 2050s and 2060s and hearing how Obama was overwhelmingly popular, the best president ever, saved the country from "tea baggers" . . . all kinds of stuff that you know is 80 - 90 percent B.S.

"He stated that the "controversies" are not in the same "cosmos" of Watergate."
He's right...they are worse than Watergate ever was.

It’s exactly like sports. Someone on the other team gives one of your team’s players a cheap shot, a shove in the back and it’s the worst thing that has ever happened in the history of sports. Someone on your team throws an elbow or trips and it was either an “accident” or just “competitive fire” or such like. You can see the exact same actions and frame it completely differently depending on who’s doing the shoving.

"we dont even know whether the president was aware that this was happening.
Well he should have - that's what Chief Executives do ---- DAILY!
He probably could have been aware of matters in his administration if he spent more time governing instead of golfing, campaigning, vacationing and hanging out with Jay-Z, Beyonce and Tiger Woods.

"No stranger to "controversies" himself, during the 2004 election Rather reported about memos (the Killian memos) he obtained that were critical of George W. Bush's service in the National Guard...."
Freeper Buckhead broke that story by looking at type style on the document!

There were down sides to Nixon to be sure. He wasn’t a Conservative. He did abuse his power. Today his infractions look so small. Ultimately he got what he deserved, but his infractions were miniscule with what is taking place today. And yet the image of him is one of a complete beast. Nixon was problematic, but never was he what I would consider even remotely a threat to our nation.
Obama is actually a national security threat. He’s also one of the worse enemies of Western Civilization, particularly our allies.
He is a global destabilizing force. And what’s more, he wants to be. He wants our nation’s influence on global dynamics to end. What more does anyone need to know than that?
He’s an enemy of the state.

"we dont even know whether the president was aware that this was happening.
Well he should have - that's what Chief Executives do ---- DAILY! Thats the job - to find out, by asking, how he could be assured that his administration was taking care that the law be faithfully executed.
Anything else is deniability, rather than minding the store.
