Video: IRS scapegoats not exactly taking it lying down

Last night, Barack Obama tried to take control of the narrative on one of the scandals that have rocked his administration by announcing that IRS Commissioner Steve Miller had resigned by request of Treasury Secretary Jack Lew. As it turns out, Miller was leaving in a month anyway, but the outgoing IRS chief took the time to note that the wrongdoing was limited to two IRS employees in the Cincinnati office, who had already been “disciplined” — which directly contradicts the Inspector General’s report, which shows managerial involvement since March 2010 at least, and coordination between multiple offices and units. The report also notes that at least 300 applications got improperly obstructed, and the number is likely much higher than that.

Fox 19 in Cincinnati reports that the number doubled yesterday evening to four IRS employees, and that they’re not terribly interested in martyrdom (via Twitchy):

(VIDEO-AT-LINK)

FOX19 has exclusively learned that as many as four people may be the first Cincinnati Internal Revenue Service (IRS) employees to face disciplinary action, and possibly even criminal charges, for allegedly targeting Tea Party and Liberty groups applying for non-profit status.

On Wednesday, the IRS announced that it had pinpointed two employees at the agency’s Cincinnati office for being ‘primarily’ responsible. …

Yet another WHOOPER told by THE FOREIGNER. This using the IRS like an attack dog on a leash to support and enforce his WARPED COMMUNIST IDEOLOGY will be what brings down THE FOREIGNER. Without a doubt THE MOST CORRUPT REGIME in the history of U.S. politics and will make NIXON and CLINTON look like quire boys when the dust settles.

" 300 applications got improperly obstructed " ~ your first clue ~ someone thinks there's a way to 'improperly obstruct' which means there's also a way to 'properly obstruct'.

In IG speak that means the IG has already looked at the details in the process and found that normal delays do not account for what his investigators found.

That means this goes upstairs to higher levels of management ~

Let this be a lesson. It’s better if you tell your boss that you’re NOT going to do what he asks because it’s WRONG. If he fires you, you sue his a$$ off.

It might be wise for Ms. Lerner to start putting resumes out, doesn’t sound like the underlings are going to fall on their swords.

Listen to the tape. These guys say their sources told them two Cincinnati IRS agents have been subpoenaed to testify before Congress on Monday and they are saying they just followed orders from higher up.

Well then, if it was "just two low-level employees", why should Miller have to resign? If he should, why shouldn't Holder have to resign over F&F?

What will Miller resigning actually accomplish? It doesn't even make it look like Obama is doing anything about the problem. Will the "news" media sit by, accept the "resignation" and go back to cooing at Zero?

The letters have now been found to come from a lot of other states, so it was not confined to one city, or state, for that matter! These guys really do think we’re all dumb. I know they count on their own constituency being so, but I think they think that because we might listen to Rush, Levin, Hannity, or Beck, that we are dumber! HAHAHA!

True, but it puts the lie to the claim this was all done by two “rogue” agents.

A very, very salient point from the article:

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) official who apologized for targeting conservative nonprofit groups for extra scrutiny is married to an attorney whose firm hosted a voter registration organizing event for the 2012 Obama re-election campaign, praised President Obama’s policy work, and had one of its partners appointed by Obama to a key ambassadorship.

IRS Exempt Organizations Division director Lois G. Lerner, who has been described as “apolitical” in mainstream press coverage of the IRS scandal, is married to tax attorney Michael R. Miles, a partner at the law firm Sutherland Asbill & Brennan. The firm is based in Atlanta but has a number of offices including in Washington, D.C., where Miles works.

The 400-attorney firm hosted an organizing meeting at its Atlanta office for people interested in helping with voter registration for the Obama re-election campaign.

Anyone else see Zero's presser and his answer to the IRS IG report? He was asked if he knew for certain that no one in the WH knew what the IRS "rogue agents" were doing, and Zero responds with an answer to the IG report (after saying, "Let me be specific on this question [paraphrase]").

FNC hammered Zero on this, even the poofter Shemp Smith!

This IRS bullying attack on conservative organizations is the bitter Ubama's response to 'Citizens United'. He never got over that Supreme Court ruling and so the sneaky bastard decided to fight back using the IRS. This scandal doesn't go to "higher levels of management" - - this scandal goes straight to the African communist scumbag himself.

Remember, though, the field guys were responding to a spike in the number of applications. It is incidental that their efforts resulted in a division of the application stream into evil leftwingtard and honest Conservative parts.

Once Geitner discovered this he failed to counsel the subordinate levels in Treasury department that it was wrong.

Bet he and Obamugabe had a big laugh over it. Bet they also considered it a gift horse ~ not realizing that the people being delayed and messed with talk to each other!

Now they pay.

perhaps he should be threatened/blackmailed with a tax audit until he cofnesses that the orders came from dear leader

The reason dear leader wanted to use the IRS to ‘enforce’ the health care is becasue the IRS had the power to bully intimidate and blackmail peopel by threatenign tax audits IF the peopel were conservatives

Yep- the thugs i nthe IRS were to be the right arm of the thugs in Washington

Sarah Hall Ingram ~ she was in charge. That's the top of the heap for a Super Grade, or maybe she's an appointee as a Deputy Commissioner!

The low level staffers are going to be GS-13 to GS-15 ~ pretty close to USPS folks doing the same stuff.

Now that we know who she is she will be made to squeal, and as a career employee ~ probably well short of a retirement date, she's going to squeal all over the place.

Her subordinates aren't taking the rap for her!

There are scum on the way to the top ~ Sarah Hall Ingram got both a meritorious service award AND a promotion ~ a big one too ~ and she was going to let the guys in her old shop where she was doing this stuff take the rap.

Sorry, Sarah has no ethical standards ~ so now she will talk ~

BTW, this woman has no picture on the internet! BTW, I don't either.

In some jobs you make real enemies so no pics ~

That's all over for Sarah now...

Just taking a look at this woman MY GAYDAR WENT OFF THE SCALE!

That's another scandal or two.

What's not to like ~ ObamaKKKare down the tubes; IRS derailed from denying Conservative groups appropriate nonprofit approval; Gays demonstrated to be not only sexually amoral but untrustworthy in every aspect of life;...... (More tomorrow I am sure)

Foxnews is reporting that the very same Ms. Hall is being made the head of the Affordable Care Act Division which has oversight of the implementation of fines for not purchasing health insurance. she is being bought off, so no squealing from Ms. Hall. BUT the public should begin squealing like a stuck pig for what this will mean for them when Obamacare is fully implemented.
