No one needs to say anything to establish the fact that the Marines are a kind of sacred institution.

People who care about the country can’t help but feel it in their bones.

The president left Marines to die doing their duty in Benghazi, fighting desperately to save the Ambassador. From him or by his neglect a stand down order was sent twice.

Maybe this Marine with the umbrella was thinking the whole time about the Marines left to die fighting at the Embassy.

Obama uses Marines as a shoe shine boy and as a Hollywood party prop for his wife (remember that?).

It doesn’t take any dignity from the Marines, just from him.

Hey, at least the poor guy can’t salute him properly. A left handed salute would be more than the POS deserves, too.

Picture in your mind.... President Oscandal holding his own umbrella....

He would probably be twirling it in his fingers, and looking like a gay homosexual.

Aren’t you glad he used a real man to hold his umbrella?

Wow, it’s hard to keep a straight face while posting this...

FUBO

If anyone can tell me how to make it so the pic appears in my post, I’d much appreciate it.

I have to hand it to the Marine. I saw the picture. He is keeping his distance from the president and out from under the umbrella (which actually means that he is getting more wet from the runoff). He must have strong, solid arms to hold his arm outstretched for so long.

Good job, soldier. My apologies about that thing you must salute (and I'm not talking about any flag).

P.J. O'Rourke once wrote about a trip to the almost bare rock called Iwo Jima. There was a group Marines there at the same time, sleeping in tents in the triple digit heat, and hiking up volcanic Mt. Suribachi before dawn so they could watch the sun rise from its summit. A Marine representative explained that the trip to Iwo Jima was a reward for outstanding young Marines

P.J. wondered, if getting sent to live in a tent on a tropical rock, in the summer, and spending the night climbing a mountain composed of sharp and abrasive volcanic stones, in the dark, in stifling heat, and 100% humidity, was a reward for outstanding service, just what the Marine Corps did to junior enlisted men it was not pleased with...
