Democrat Baucus warns: More to come out on IRS scandal
Washington Examiner ^ | Friday May 17, 2013

Senior Democratic Sen. Max Baucus, who recently slapped Obamacare as a "train wreck," believes that the IRS scandal is just beginning and that "a lot more" damaging information will be revealed, likely at congressional hearings.

"I have a hunch that a lot more is going to come out, frankly," Baucus, whose pending retirement seems to have freed him up to speak bluntly, told Bloomberg Government's " Capitol Gains " TV show.

"It's broader than the current focus. And I think it's important that we have the hearings, and I think that will encourage other information to come out that has not yet come out. I suspect that we will learn more in the next several days, maybe the next couple three weeks which adds more context to all of this," added Baucus, chairman of the Senate Finance Committee.

This is the nature of big government. I don’t know why everyone acts so shocked by this. Did anyone really not expect this from the Obama Administration?

They all did and did absolutely nothing. Worse, they lied about it and denied it was happening. Anything to squeak through the election cycle.

Now, who cares if it all comes out...what are any of them going to actually DO about it? Not much past the indignant faux outrage.

Just another act in the kabuki theater. Brought to you by Black Cow, sanitized fertilizers....

It is time to seriously consider a break from these idiots.

NO, that “blackmail” was done on the “secret” meeting at SCOTUS on January 14, 2009 with eight other justices present. The Chcago-GODFATHER-Thugs-like softly whispering in John Roberts’ ears, “remember you have family and small children, etc”. They were all humiliated at a SOUA with standing ovation from DNC-assclowns, enough to to cave in to obamaScare later. He knew/saw what happened to the choir members, the Passport “lifter” (shot) Bill Gwatney and Andrew Breitbart. On the above date EVERYbody and EVERYthing went mute and AWOL all the way down the latter, including military brass (Lt.Col Lakin) on the NBC issue!!!

WHY is John Brennan (a Muzzie) now CIA head???

I’m watching the hearing now on Varney & Co. These people are beyond evasive, saying there was no stinkin’ political targeting!

The DemoRats are being perhaps more irrational and stupid than during the Benghazi whistle-blower hearing. The only one who asked a relevant question was Rangel. You have Levin, McDermot, some other idiot, pretending liberal groups were targeted, saying the White House is innocent, that the IRS can manage Obamacare. These people make me sick.

Oh, Sen. Bacchus knows, he's just waiting to see if Congress is going to be able to "coax" or "stumble" into the truth!

He's not going to step out and tell the truth, as an honest person would, like Obama, he's going to give lawyerly statements, which isn't the same as telling the truth!

“The bastard knew of the corruption all along and did nothing. What a POS.”

That’s exactly what his comments mean. And all of D.C.- the press, congress and supreme court know Obama is not a natural born citizen and a complete fraud.

Look no further than John Roberts. I can almost guarantee you that Obama had IRS information on him, and used it to blackmail him into approving Obamascare.

What a large, lovely bucket of popcorn that coming out would require me to buy...

Either Drudge or the Blaze had columns this past week on democrat senators actually calling on the IRS to audit these groups.

Nothing good happens any longer at Moscow on the Potomac.

The Law Defends Plunder

But it does not always do this. Sometimes the law defends plunder and participates in it. Thus the beneficiaries are spared the shame, danger, and scruple which their acts would otherwise involve. Sometimes the law places the whole apparatus of judges, police, prisons, and gendarmes at the service of the plunderers, and treats the victim — when he defends himself — as a criminal. In short, there is a legal plunder...

This legal plunder may be only an isolated stain among the legislative measures of the people. If so, it is best to wipe it out with a minimum of speeches and denunciations — and in spite of the uproar of the vested interests.

How to Identify Legal Plunder

But how is this legal plunder to be identified? Quite simply. See if the law takes from some persons what belongs to them, and gives it to other persons to whom it does not belong. See if the law benefits one citizen at the expense of another by doing what the citizen himself cannot do without committing a crime.

Then abolish this law without delay, for it is not only an evil itself, but also it is a fertile source for further evils because it invites reprisals. If such a law — which may be an isolated case — is not abolished immediately, it will spread, multiply, and develop into a system.

end excerpts from “The Law” - Frederic Bastiat 1801-1850

TREASON - “acting”/appointed/entrenched unaccountable bureaucrats (socialists) elevating to TOTALITARIAN tactics for the powers that be when the time is right.

DISMANTLE the IRS.

TREASON - continuous, PRE-MEDITATED, agenda-driven, in-your-face, media-complicit, AGENCY-ABETTED, REPRESENTATIVE-DIRECTED, ongoing...

DEPOPULATE totalitarians from the body politic. DISMANTLE their system.

Wasn’t Max one of the senators who “sicked” the IRS on the Tea Party groups in the first place, claiming they needed to be investigated?

Some years back, I recall Baucus making comments to Montana media that he would be very willing to use the IRS to go after political enemies. At the time, I was surprised to hear a senator making a statement like that.

“Well, he ought to know since he was one of the Senate Rats who tasked the IRS to go after the TEA Party”

Typical behavior of someone whom has screwed up and tries to get ahead of it by getting their twisted version of the story out first to deflect blame.

Hmmm...no wonder he "decided" to "retire to spend more time with the family" instead of seeking re-election.

These last couple of weeks are starting to remind me of those stories about animals, sensing something that humans are otherwise oblivious to, suddenly start freaking out before an earthquake or natural event, like packs of dogs suddenly running away from the ocean just before the tsunami hits.

When the 'rats start freaking out, that's the sign we've been looking for. It's been a long time coming, but it looks like we're going to Scandal Land for our summer vacation this year.

I think there must be something coming out about him and he is attempting a preventive CYA. I don’t trust this crook as far as I can throw him. Remember how wealthy all these politicians are by the time they leave office, and Baucus appointed a relative of his to a good job (can’t remember the details just now).
