Poll’s at 50-50.

I own my small business and have been approached to provide accounting services to someone I knew was a lesbian. Just responded that I would rather not. Had they pressed for an explanation, I would have responded that I didn’t think we could work effectively together as a team. I have enough trouble with a couple of my clients who are libs and just recently terminated my contract with one of them.

Suspect it’s easier to control if you sell a service rather than a product. For me it’s all about freedom of choice, not only who I provide services to but who I obtain services from.

Apparently, the previous friendship between Stutzman and Ingersoll was fine until Stutzman wouldn’t jump up and down to show support for the “wedding”. Being tolerant wasn’t enough; she was expected to embrace and support something that contradicted her religious beliefs. Then it became all about discrimination.

Ingersoll’s self-indulgent comment about how it really hurt because it was someone he knew says quite a bit. I suppose it never occurred to him that lashing out with a vindictive lawsuit was hurtful in turn, but that was his point I suppose - punishing someone for daring to have and stick to a religious belief that didn’t put his lifestyle on a pedestal to thunderous applause. Puke.

The way to handle this would be to wait until their wedding day and fill the room with crappy wilting flowers. Oops. Sorry. These flowers inexplicably wilted.
