The Obamas announced today that they will be hosting another “Performance at the White House” event on May 28 to honor American singer and songwriter Carole King:
As part of their “In Performance at the White House” series, the President and First Lady will host a concert in the East Room honoring singer-songwriter Carole King, who will be awarded the 2013 Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. President Obama will present the award as he did when the Library of Congress honored Stevie Wonder (2009), Sir Paul McCartney (2010), and the songwriting team of Burt Bacharach and Hal David (2012). The program will include performances by King, as well as Gloria Estefan, Billy Joel, Jesse McCartney, Emeli Sandé, James Taylor and Trisha Yearwood.

They’re not pushing the envelope, they ARE the envelope.
Nothing can stop them from continuing blithely to keep doing all they’ve managed to get away with for more than 4 years.
It serves as “proof positive” to them and their bitter-end
supporters, in a kind of in-your-face way that THEY are “the ones” who can set us on the proper (mock)-Utopian course where there’s a pot of gold awaiting everyone at the end of the Green Energy rainbow, which WE know will never come, but THEY believe is out there, “soon” to be revealed, if only we would just see the light and roll over for their Agenda.
Their constant partying serves as an implicit celebration that everything they’re doing is something to be celebrated,
with us as the fawning bystanders lucky enough to witness it.
Carole, it looks like “you’ve got a friend” in the WH.

They always seem to give these awards non-stop to people who haven’t written one hit song never mind one good song in 40 years. Paul McCartney is the absolute worst. All this idiot has been doing for the pasty 40 years is sing Hey Jude and harangue the masses to eat veggie, and it’s just non stop awards over and over and over and over for this guy. Any other business he would have been run out of town decades ago.
I like Carole King, but when it the last time she had a hit? 1973 when she was 30? So if I had a job and I retired when I was 30, forty years later I should get an award? This is more leftist propaganda, they keep using these awards to promo their agendas like when the worlds worst comedienne Tina Fey imitated Sarah Palin, liberals couldn’t fall over themselves fast enough to give her the Mark Twain prize for humor, an award in the past given to the likes of Neil Simon, George Carlin, WW2 Marine Jonathan Winters, Bill Cosby, Richard Pryor, Carl Reiner. Now if you are a massive leftist like Whoopi Goldberg or Ellen Degenrate *boom* you get the award.
What about Carol Burnett? They mean to tell me these leftist women are more talented than Carol Burnett or a Republican like Goldie Hawn or Teri Garr who have been in the business since the 1960s?? Baloney. I am so sick to death of leftists using awards shows to promo their leftist BS, especially this Kenyan schmuck given the peace prize LOL! For doing NOTHING other than being a commie.
